if its in the bdsp metagames i assume your points are getting reset because of tier shifts involving mons getting banned (manaphy and gengar in OU, for example)

On the topic of Joey saying Luxray would be cool if it was fire electric, it deserved a hisuian form since it’s such an iconic gen 4 mon. I think it would’ve been cool if it was based on the concept of volcanic lighting and it got stab wild charge and flare blitz. Would love to see it have the reckless ability and one could only dream rock head but it wouldn’t make much sense for it to have rock head

I never understood why Luxray is so damn slow, especially since it's based off of Leo the lion (animal/constellation). Lions are the second fastest wild cats topping at 50mph in short bursts. On top of that Luxray is not only an electric type, which is the type most heavily associated with speed having by far the most pokemon with a speed stat above 100 in gen 8, but it's also based on the stars from a constellation. Stars are known for little else than providing light WHICH NO KNOWN OBJECT CAN TRAVEL FASTER THAN... Canonically Luxray SHOULD BE one of the FASTEST pokemons in the entire series.

I mean, it's an Electric type with a base 120 offense and has Guts: so that standard macho-Mon setup. So it does baffle me as to how this thing never seems able to climb above RU at least to become a UU wild-card choice.

Use Fling Gliscor for some heat. Acro, EQ, Facade, Elemental Fangs, U-Turn, Knock, Jab, this thing has so much coverage to take advantage of. Even SD for a nice sweep
