Agree with several comments here. M1 MBP is perfectly good for most people. Isn’t it time we stopped falling for the hype? Aren’t we trying to build a more sustainable world?

Welp...if the upgrades contributed to gamming the rest of use would be interested. OLED & face id are the only real increased selling points imo atm.

I have the M1 and it works totally fine.

I like the 15 inch macbook air...if Apple gave me a 15 inch air with a 120hz oled screen I would probably buy it.

I hope this new redesign of the MacBook Pro M4 comes with the removal or reduction of that damn notch, which is so absurd, or at least includes Face ID so I don’t have to enter my password 40 million times when opening the Mac.

Personally, I'm still more than happy with my M1Max. BUT I'd contemplate upgrading if Apple gives us:
WiFi 7, Thunderbolt 5, better quality media engine with full AV1 support (even M3 encoders suck quality wise), sane SSD & RAM pricing + maybe even e-SIM support.

Is any M4 Macbook Air releasing?

Controversial opinion about the potential design change in next years, but I actually don’t want it to get thinner. Or at least keep it thicker than the 2015 design so we can keep HDMI port and enough space for air venting for heat. I don’t they don’t heat up nearly as bad as Intel but… I’d hate to see that happen again

I’d buy the MBP due to the better screen compared to the Air but the weight difference isn’t worth it for me. I’ll wait until they bring a thinner MBP.

As a game developer, I can't wait to upgrade from my M2 to M4. Those single core performance boosts really matter to me while compiling code in Unity, it just makes the IDE to Unity back and forth feel so much better.

To be honest, this is still incremental upgrades with some gimmicks that most people won’t use.
