Complete Guide to PRATUMNAK - part 1 of 4 Pattaya, Thailand

Thanks Pete, this couldn’t be more timely… We determined that while I love the quiet of Bang Saray, it doesn’t have the tourist base to support Nara’s business. But I think most of the greater Pattaya area is just too much for me long term. Walking home from Cabbages and Condoms was the first time I realized that Pratumnak has some truly quiet corners, so it’s looking like perhaps the best fit for our needs. I’ve been doing my research, but as always your videos are enormously helpful. Can’t wait for more of the series!!

Are people riding Mountain bikes on the trails around you ?
Are there disc golf courses around?

The beaches out that way are mostly man made that is why the sand is not soft.

I spent 3 months in Pratumnak in 2023 and loved it there. I loved Soi 4,5 and 6 the most. In Kasetsin I went to Chillin Home cafe because it had been on your channel after you first moved there. I also went to Peine cafe in Jomtien which I saw on your channel. Very good recommendations Pete

I often stand in the sea looking in land at the beautiful condos and restaurants like the royal cliff and 3 mermaids. I'd love to live there if my lottery numbers came up

Pete, this might be your first masterpiece video. It was extremely informative, and I took several screenshots for future use. I don’t know about the price hike being that bad however, because monthly apartment rent here at least in Pennsylvania is about $1500-$1700 per month. That’s for most apartments but I guess you could probably find a deal as well. $580 would feel like a steal to me. In about 2 1/2 weeks on about March 19 or 20th I’m gonna be in Pattaya for a week. I’m vacationing in Thailand from mid March through early April. I was there in Pattaya last April and you and I tried to meet up, but we got our lines crossed if you remember. I’m going to email you. If you’re free during that week, I’d like to meet up at a restaurant or bar if possible. I’ll buy you a beer and perhaps pick your brain about more Thailand stuff. At least beyond stuff that you cover in your daily videos. Please let me know if you’re down.

Thanks Pete, we just spent 7 days in Pratumnak and one of the big cons is the Soi dogs, they are out of control and stopped us walking around a lot of the areas, guarding certain roads and bailing us up as we tried to pass. The barking at night is also noisy. We won’t be coming back to that area unfortunately due to this. Everything else was awesome but the dogs are a BIG turnoff for the area and once you’re bitten you can write off half your holiday.

I Live in Pratumnak so that means i'm not a sex creep ?

Ive heard Pratumnak is "The Beverly Hills of Pattaya" is this true? Like the more afluent / financial wealthy live here and housing / rent is priced higher than other places in Pattaya , and maybe double or triple of Jomtien / the north of Pattaya.

Easily one of the best Pattaya guide videos I have ever seen. I have lived in Pattaya for over a year and even moved to Pratumnak a month ago, yet I nevertheless still learned things in this video. Thanks boss.

I quickly fell in love with Pratumnak since I found it. It is a very needed chill pill compared to the rest of Pattaya, all while Pattaya is still only a few minutes Bolt away. Even the bars here are more chilled out and relaxed with my favorite being 4 Love Bar. It is just a small neighborhood bar filled with friendly people from all over the world, shooting the breeze and a few games of pool, and no bar girls there or are needed. Pattaya was really wearing on me before I found this area, but I apparently just needed to find a side of Pattaya that was a bit more my speed.

interesting video and very informative i agree that watching videos is not enough to know an area ... you have to walk an area before you decide to rent or buy... i stayed for 3 months pre covid and eventually bought a small condo on soi 5 ... close to restaurants and 250mts from the beach
