10. Bandage
Lauren Coleman, a senior at the University of Illinois, received an unusual side order with her fries at the Illini Union's McDonald's in 2005. She was ready to dig in when she saw a used bandage in her fries. He feels the gum was placed in his meal on purpose.

In 2009, a seven-year-old girl discovered a condom nestled in her fries, resulting in yet another "unhappy lunch" in Fribourg, Switzerland. The child's distraught mother contacted the police, who initiated an urgent inquiry into how it got there.

3. Wire Brush
Brett Stephens, 18, escaped harm in 2010 when he discovered a sharp, five-inch-long wire brush stuck in the flesh of his Chicken sandwich purchased at a local McDonald's in Kidderminster, England.
