I’m a big believer in sun shirts. In Louisiana, the way to stay outside all day while at a USPSA competition IMO is to wear a nice sunshirt, I like Ketl Mountain, and to also wear light weight hiking pants. Keeping the sun off you completely is the only way to survive. Also drink tons of water with electrolytes.

I wish Tac/Dis still made those. I bought some a couple years ago on clearance and haven't seen them since.

Great video Ivan, just what I was looking for since heading out towards you mostly to RMNP in CO. So was looking for some sun shirts to pick up. Great timing. Keep up the great content as always buddy and hope to see you on a Coast to Coast tour again sometime in the future if and when you do it again.

Sun shirts are a godsend for anyone who works outside in extreme environments too. I do rope access wind turbine blade repair and wear them 24/7 in all conditions.

My company switches between Patagonia, Black Diamond, and a local company out of Colorado called Slot. Black Diamond is my preferred brand, but I’ve got a bunch of Kuiu for personal use that I cannot recommend enough.

You lost me at "form fitting"... because my form is definitely not fit. Ha, ha, ha! 😞 Great information though! If I ever go outside again, I do want to have a good sun shirt (bug shirt)!

Perfect timing. I’m going to Honolulu for a few weeks and I was just looking for a sun/ swim shirt.

I've found the Kuiu Gila has the best balance of breathability and protection of all the sun hoodies I've tried.

All action hoodies should have the action ninja masks imo.

Thanks for the review. I think the visor on the hood could be useful if wishing to shade eyes during really hot weather and not wanting to add the layer of wearing a hat. I know when ascending a small peak in unusually warm weather and very bright sun, my son and I even with sunglasses on needed to cut down the light intensity. Also my Dad had ears and scalp get burned with sun. He would take his hat off to vent heat. A light hood Might have saved him from skin cancer spots on the top of his ears and the burns he had on his head.

I love these sun shirts! living in the rocky mountains the sun is intense and i hate having to wear sunscreen so these are a huge win for me as an outdoors person. i like ones with a hood and no pockets. just lightweight breathable and quick drying layer of protection

Hang Ten at Costco is nice for an everyday one, they’re around 10 bucks

A few weeks ago I needed one for a pistol course I took here in PA where the sun was brutal and humidity was high. They had ONE brand at the local Dick's so I got that in the lightest color they had. It was great for the sun, but I overheated in it. It wasn't wicking anywhere near as well as the cheap wicking t-shirt I had on the day before from Costco and after a few hours was soaking wet.. Can anyone recommend a brand that really wicks well? I don't care so much about the SPF as long as it covers decently, but I don't want to spend a few hundred bucks testing out hoodies that I won't end up using. Thanks!

Just ordered a sunshirt from Milwaukee i work in a pipe yard in Tx so its a must! 😂
