Set up a turret 1 block back on 1/2 height floor. (as long as you are on flat ground) The down ward angle means it can not be shot out from a distance but still offers close defence and will shoot players in the feet/legs before they can get a shot (building height will dictate range, low foundation, 1 level + 1/2 heaight works. not sure on taller, ground slope will be more important).

You can use a camp fire (instead of a siren light), but the height is more limited (you can place siren light in any height, but expensier).

Another tip, if you do this, don't wear colorful armor so they can see you.

I build these peeks quite often, I recommend putting a camp fire on the floor instead of the siren lights (or maybe even in addition). Gives you better angles with varying elevations as you crouch walk over the camp fire. Great video!

Any chance this is inspired by my design from building sanctuary? This is the second video I see this week using these peeks since I posted my design on building sanctuary and it seems like suddenly 3 different builders have discovered the same technique...
