CG (Center Gravity) is considered as the important design factor - for leveling the car. Two propellers on the center side instead of 4 point propellers - would be very difficult. Wind factor, airflow, etc..would be nearly impossible to maintain.

Flying cars won`t be here in the next 15-20 years or more.

Governments don`t have specialized departments for licensing public air travel. How will you obtain your license?
How will governments accept the idea that pretty much everyone with a flying car will be able to simply do a heist and take off the streets ? That will leave police being useless and helpless.
How will governments regulate public air travel in order to ensure that people won`t fly into each other, into landing air planes, into buildings and so on ?
While the project may end up as a success and a car may become able to take off in a drone like air travel, that will be restricted to certain projects and will not become a public allowed thing in the next few decades until the governments will be able to regulate air fly, create strict flying pathways, find ways to keep citizens safe and so on.

So start being realistic.

Wow. Since probably the '80's I've imagined being in packed, bumper-to-bumper traffic, and having a car that was able to float straight up, and then freely fly above all the traffic to my destination. This is not that, but it's closer than nothing!
As a child I also imagined a floating chair, but I was probably just a lazy kid, lol.
