This is why it’s always so uncomfortable to watch the actors do fanservice out of their series filming. It feels like we’re objectifying them. In part its the management fault for feeding this to the fans and making them believe they’re somehow romantically involved beyond their roles. I don’t really see this shipping problem in Japanese BLs because they don’t need to go to the extreme just to promote their series. Their acting and screenplay do the parts

No most of the BL actors are not happy with fan service, because think about it for a second who touches their lovers every second in front of the camera or in private? No personal space in public, their stylish dress them horrible with bad makeup. Forcing the one who plays the bottom role to start dressing feminine in clothing some females will not even wear. Have some of these interviewers come onto them or in their personal space. Don't tell me some of the things I'm saying nobody has noticed. The writer and agencies tell them how to act in public for the series to get a lot of attention. Treating them like kids with no respect managers being all bodies with them some doing more than what a manager shall do. Then you have the famous BL interviewer that all touches especially if the actors are handsome get it worse. Even if some of these actors are gay don't give them the right to sexual comes onto them.

The fact that bl actors have to go that far as doing fan services while pretending to be their roles even out of the set is too much compelling and forceful, like they've got no their private lives and have to live by pleasing their fans. There's a point when things become overwhelming. Fans are also deeply affected as their priorities are taken away by these couples. They are fed with these services until they realise that it was all a lie when the actors move on and prosper in their career.

No need for fanservice, for real.. It doesn't add anything to the story.. I love the characters, the actors don't have to be "lovey-dovey" in real life. Just coworkers and friends, no need to pretend, moreover if they are unconfortable around e/o. And some "couple" go to long lengh just to sell themselves as sweethearts. Not fair for them and the fan of the series!

Yes people can develop close friendships and can be touchy off scene that’s how most close friends are.Even if they just coworkers its their job to put out what their fans like. Which is why we should never assume any actors sexuality regardless of what they play in
