Such a great movie.

I haven't seen this movie since I was about 10 years old. Don't remember much about it except when his face was sliding down after chomping his food too fast.

Fun fact, Roger went back, gave the film 4 stars, and added it to his great movies list. It’s a testament to the difficulty of giving an initial impression, and Kubrick’s emphasis on a film needing to be experience more than once.

When Ebert added this to his Great Movies list, he admitted that he was wrong with his initial review.

some critics got it wrong about this movie but seeing it again after 20 years I thought it was ok despite the problems and a great collaboration by Spielberg and Kubrick

If there is anyone who is diametrically opposed to the Kubrick style, it is Steven Spielberg. I never liked A.I. because of that. It just did not come out right, in my opinion.

The biggest “oh crap!” of Roger’s critiques. He’s gone on to increase initial ratings of films lots of times, but AI was the biggest jump he’s ever done with a film.

Its a visual masterpeice
