Here the thing I DON'T HAVE THE MONEY TO PAY FOR OUTRAGEOUSLY PRICED MOVIE TICKETS OR NETFLIX. I love movies and if they wouldn't charge $13.00 for a FUCKING movie ticket I wouldn't even use popcorn time, but thats not the case. Lets face it Hollywood makes more than a BILLION dollars yearly and I'm sure their not gonna miss that $13.00 from a poor white boy that lives in a trailer park. So everyone who gets mad at people who use torrents GET OFF YOUR HIGH HORSE and leave it alone. Sorry we can't afford $13.00 dollar movies ticks, $4.00 candies, $6.00 drinks, and $8.00 popcorns.

Whatever your views are on this, it's undeniable that having your media locally is far superior to streaming them, yet no services supports or allows you to do this.
Personally i don't use Popcorn Time that much, but it's an amazing program for what it does. i use Plex then rip all my media to a NAS and watch them that way.

Also legality aside, If i download a movie or tv-series that you own previously, then surely there is no moral issues there. In most places it's even legal to do this as it's classed as a personal backup.

In my country there is no law stating that you should get punished for downloading copyright conted for personal use. It is however forbiden to upload, share and make widely available copyright contend. But then again.. we rip the shit out of everything. Deal with it. And Netflix isn't available here. But popcorn time is :)

Popcorntime is legal in India to stream but illegal to redistribute or sell pirated movies so I am fine with streaming :-)

i used to watch it a lot...it was the best...but i had to pay $12 per month to have a VPN security ...but i stopped paying for it and started to watch without the VPN...and one day our internet connection got cut off because they found out and they even wanted to have people come and search for my laptop to see if i was using it to watch illegal movies....but i told them they cant do that without a search warrant from the court so they just told me they could connect my internet back and if they find out im doing it again, they would ban me. So now i dont mess with Popcorn TIme no more, but i always do recommend it to friends
