Remember the manager started saying stats like “best result in 4 years” and “4 shots on target” after the Celtic loss?? Yeah moronic and not reading the room right?? That’s the exact same thing Shona just did with providing those Tav statistics for the last few years. It’s irrelevant if your not winning titles & if your costing your club 10s of goals every single season. Read the room. The man is finished at this football club, and that breaks my heart! It shouldn’t be ending like this but now, it has to. He CANNOT be placed back into that lineup & he CANNOT remain as captain of this football club, he can’t handle it mentally and neither can the fans😂. Interesting discussion guys & made me reevaluate a few of my points but ultimately I still believe he’s finished. I no longer want Bennet out of the club, but I do want him out of ANY of the footballing decision making roles, that’s a MUST! Thanks guys.

Not Tavs fault he's the only one that's always fit and now when he should managed better and to conserve energy and be fresher in selected games ! No he's being played all the time no plan for him or the team for maximum efficiency .

That manager has a lot to answer for we have no style of play no player has improved under his leadership we have only degreased and he’s the one that keeps picking tav when everyone else says his time was up he contradicts himself so much he hasn’t learn for me a year in the job how much longer does he get to prove he’s the man to lead the club back where it belongs

We complain about the players failing at the basics, but even the board does. With the development clusterfuck, were there no fines or penalties put in place for the work not finished on time, that is the basic of any contract. Every company contracting out work gives a required finish date, it's up to whoever takes the contract to make sure they can finish the job. With Tav we all knew how the Old Firm would pan out, I still believe Clement more or less threw him under the bus in the game.

Thank you FL for standing up for reason and decency.

As a Celtic fan, I think you are going to regret what you’ve done to Tav. He still creates… but people aren’t converting the chances he is creating. And no body should be treated the way he is, definitely not someone who’s done what he has (and yes, our shark throwers were morons)

We are being run by people that clearly don't know what they are doing. This is why nothing seems to go right for us. From the top to the bottom, it's inadequacy and s**t runs downhill. Panic buys and spending millions on untried, unknown players and then missing out on decent players because we offer peanuts. I foresee much trouble ahead.

For a team that plays almost entirely on the offensive in Scotland, getting dribbled past 30+ times in a season is absolutely mental, by the way. Guys like Van Dijk and Saliba have gone for entire seasons without being dribbled past a single time & they’re playing a high line in the EPL, covering for marauding fullbacks ffs!

I feel really sorry for Tav. He genuinely cares and tries for the club. He's not the player he once was but he's always thrown to the wolves in the Old Firm games. He's left one on one with a faster, more powerful player. Take him out those games. Its poor management or very niave management.

The defence of Tav is ridiculous, those stats read out are simply defeated by the eye test Stevie mentioned, he had a 5 yard start on Maeda last Sunday and still got beat by him as that ball came across the box. He looked like he couldn’t be arsed last week in spells and am afraid once that starts it’s time to go.

I don’t like the treatment of Tav. Some of the comments about him by some of our so called Fans are ridiculous. Yes, his form is not what it was, but his figures and what he has achieved since 2015 deserves respect in a era where he did not play with the talent we used to have. His displays in the Europa League and 55 were top class. Remember John Grieg our greatest Ranger went seasons without beat success against Celtic. Good job he did not live in this social media world. When Tav goes he should leave with his head held high not chased out .

A wee story About Tavanier season Before Gerrard came in you couldn't find a Ranger Fan inside Ibrox that wanted Tav Gerrard cane in and Told us Tav was wonderful nothing in Tav s Game Really changed probably Better at Attacking. I was on Holiday so Haven't seen the Abuse Aimed at Tav buy can Guarantee fan abusing him was 100 per cent on the Tav Train after Gerrard told him he was A great player. The whole Truth is since the Board Failed to Back Gerrard after Tav and Goldson The longer the decline went on Became Rangers Fans main scapgoats And wheather anyone Agrees with me or not Tav And Goldson were as much let Down as our Fans the nonsense that Golson had no offers when His contract Ran out is ome of the Biggest pile of shit fans come out with especially Ibrox noise Goldson was offered more money by 2 clubs down south he knocked them Back to Sign For Rangers because he wanted to win more medals Regardless the shite Ibrox noise continually peddle that s the truth . As a Rangers fan i dont have a problem with fans giving players Abuse on the park But outside the Ground if they have something to say then be civil with said player you don't scream and shout and allegedly spit at him if that's your mentality then your not much of a person never mind a Fan . As for shouting About the board i was Telling Fan s in the mid 90s About David Murray. I was told i was a clown and David Murray was the 2nd coming if Rangers Fans had woke up sooner 2012 Would never have Hapoened. At this moment in time john Bennet needs parience. Our Problems started Again when Dougie park stepped up

Edmiston House is really nice.... BUT it was nothing more than a vanity project for Douglas Park so that he could say "it was built under my chairmanship".
That 5 or 6 million pounds should have, at that time, been spent on improving the squad. If we had won the league we could have gone straight into the European cup group stages and used some of that money to build Edmiston House. When you are successful ON THE PARK, then with the money that comes in, you can do things like build Edmiston House.

Whilst I would never go screaming and abusing the players and manager the way we saw at Ibrox after the OF game, I certainly won't criticise those that did because we all know how those fans are feeling. We are all HURTING. We can accept defeat if we've been beaten by the better team and all our players have given 100% but that's not what we saw. We saw a WHOLE TEAM throw in the towel after the 1st "goal". When that went in ALL their heads went down but when it was ruled offside then the heads should have come back up (they shouldn't have gone down at all) and an attitude of "right let's get into them" but despite the goal being ruled offside the heads NEVER came back up again. Celtic KNEW at the point, that the game was won. We, The Rangers fans, KNEW the game was done. I cannot, will not and refuse to accept players who will not give 100%. I refuse to accept players who pretend they are injured just to get taken out of the game, that's COWARDLY.
I see Bears in the comments talking about Taverneir with some saying we can't drop him but we should move him further up the park?
The reality, the TRUTH, is that he shouldn't be on the park as he's not got it anymore. What he has done for us previously is unquestionable BUT that is the past and the old adage of "you are only as good as your last game" stands true and to find a good game from Tav you need to go back to December 2022.
He's NOT a leader, he is quick to blame others for his mistake and in OF games, the second Celtic see his name in the starting 11 they know they've got the game won because they know that Maeda will always take him to the cleaners.
When the rest of the team see their CAPTAIN drop his head then their attitude is "well, if that's my captain".
Having said all that, Taverneir is not the only one who deserves HUGE criticism because most, if not all, of the players, are just not good enough.
There are also questions that need to be asked of the manager. His comments in the after match press conference are not only baffling, they show that he doesn't get how important the OF games are. He talked of stats but the ONLY stat that matters is the one that shows the final score.
Under Clement we have won just 9 of our last 22 games, that's just not good enough, not nearly good enough.
In the last couple of months of last season, in pre season and games since the start of this season, we don't seem to have a particular style of play. We try the press but in truth we are crap at it. In the first 10 minutes we did it successfully but once they cut through the press, just that first time, the players gave it up. The players don't seem to know their jobs or the instructions from the manager are either not understood or are plain WRONG.
Clement seems intent on playing either part or full zonal marking at corners. Zonal marking is SHIT and has been proven to be SHIT, so why is he sticking with it? Maeda, one of the, if not THE, smallest player on the park, was able to beat our players in the air and could have scored on both those occasions.
His team selections are generally baffling, as is his substitutions, though it has to be said that the team selection in that game was probably the best he could put out.
The reality is that we are being poorly lead in the boardroom, poorly lead from the touchline and poorly lead on the park.
