I've been to ushguli. It was wintertime , very freighting road - don't drive alone! take a guide. it's worth it! as you said it froze in time like 200 years ago

I can agree with your statement that Svaneti is really the most magical destination in Georgia and in Caucasus Region. I am Georgian BUT I have never been in Mestia😂It's true that our country is very small, but there are lots and lots and lots of sightseeings you can't see everything in a little time, because Georgia has very very long history.
