Having seen this movie, at first it seems absolutely ridiculous, but pretty soon you get that they’re just trying to make a silly movie completely straight. It’s also a fairly easy movie world to get into, and by the end, post-apocalyptic small-town rival gangs challenging each other to “beat offs” seems entirely natural.
I’m such a sucker for punishment I even watched the sequel. And a third is in the making.
