Thank you for redeeming some of the lore for Angron for me. That was beautiful and heart breaking... and a pox on the soul of Erda. So cursed a betrayer as to have no equal in the history of our kind, be it lost in the dark tomes or not. All the pain. All the misery. Ten thousand years of war and blood shed and suffering... even the fall of Horus Lupercal itself. Would he have been so susceptible to Chaos if he had been raised by his true father as intended? One wonders. One wonders at the mind of Erda... and one wonders what she thinks of what she has wrought now. What fate has befallen her sons, now.

And if she still lives, and as a perpetual, she almost certainly does, I hope that haunts her more than anything else and that she can't look at her own hands without seeing the sins and blood of her sons.

The big E stole somerhing from chaos allowing them to play a hand of Tzeenchian baby corruption revenge. He yeeted those babies while hidding a corruptible back door in each. As each primarch emulated a version of the Emperor's individual traits. Primarchs emulating weaker dominant traits were the most corrupted. The yeeting of the primarchs is exactly how Tzeench would handle the situation. Ensuring the widest range of possible changes and outcomes. The imperium's records are falsified to prevent the people from knowing the Emperor was unable to foresee this or stop it and that fact would hurt the view of him as an all powerful master of mankind. Evey human alive can accept a "BITCHES B CRAZY" narrative and accept that even the big E can't fight that. After all, he is a man... just a man.

I've watched this probably a dozen times, and I only just now realized that the Remembrancer at the beginning is Baldermort's self insert POV character. That this is how he imagines himself if he were in 40k. An elderly scribe dwarfed by the titans, scope and scale of everything in the setting, but still doing his level best to convey them in a way we (the human populace) can relate to.
Or maybe I'm reading too far into things. I have been known to do that.
Either way, the Primarch was right to laud and appreciate him. We all do.

Erda/Urda or however you spell it sounds like an absolute moron, and her actions show a pretty decent amount of stupidity if she was chaos corrupted. Even sending them away, did she REALLLLY think that the Emp in ALLLLL his power and will wouldn't find them? Wouldn't use ALLLLL the power at his disposal to find them? c'mon.

I’m very late to this installment of your works Sir Baldermort so I don’t know if you will see this comment.

I just wanted to say that as a World Eaters player from the start, the portion of this video dedicated to the interaction between the custode and the Emperor over the fate of Angron brought tears to my eyes. As the father of a troubled son, who thankfully does not have the ability to eat worlds, and the father of more than a few other seemingly quite gifted children, I know all too well what a father will do to protect the one seen as “flawed”.

Your reading of these works are eloquent and as amazing as ever.

If they ever make a long, bug budget series Henry Cavill should play Roboute Guilliman, he'd be a perfect fit, the emperor's role would be wasted as he can take on whichever appearance he chooses, moreover the writing should be directed by Henry es well

I could see an Ork BigMek being confused at how a White Bike could be so fast. After some tinkering he finds out they use a Red Primer, and expresses his discovery as "Dat's Cheetin'!!!"

I really love your tale at the beginning. You truly bring to life what it would be like to meet one of these demigod primarchs. I love that you use not just any primarch, but Sanguinious, perhaps the most diplomatic and charming of all primarchs. To be in the presence of such a god-like being would truly be terrifying to most. I love so much how you pointed out how it wasn't just their appearance what was actually their movement. I'm trying to picture it like the blur you said. I think it would sort of be like that little cyclone that Sonic the hedgehog makes when he runs, lol. In all seriousness it is such a good story. Baldermort, I also love your interpretation of the Emperor so much. I greatly enjoy the idea that The Emperor had noble intentions but was flawed rather than a manipulative, conniving despot who only sees all other beings as tools. I greatly enjoy how you demonstrate your interpretation through your story of The Emperor directing Angron's hate towards The Emperor himself not out of callousness or spite, but out of love for his broken son.
