A very good review. Thanks. Had bikes since the 70s. And been looking at 750x for a while. In the end I went for the manual version. Found one, low mileage 2017 model with a load of extras. A shad seat being one of them. It's just having pdi.. N mot. Then she's mine. I'm very excited, and even more so, after watching your video. Only a bike can get me feeling like that. Cheers
ОтветитьI've toured France , Switzerland and Spain twice on my little Yamaha tricity 300cc in 2024. No Toll roads for me, next to last day was a 6am till 8;30pm ride 630Miles Le vieux port messanges Landes to Boulogne. At 64 years old, i think i do ok. I don't have a bike license for 2 wheels it's just for 3 wheels 1979 past test. lol, Will be going for bike test this year and will be looking at the NC750X
ОтветитьGreat video, I have 2017 DCT , 70mpg easily, high wind shield makes 70 mph on motorway comfortable. You can always run the bike in manual at the flick of switch, sometimes use manual when in commuter type traffic.
ОтветитьHello. I like your video. I have the same bike like you. I like your jacket. Can you tell me the mark and type of it. Thank you Very much. Jirka
ОтветитьThere’s a 25 model now with better upgrades twin discs at front 4hp more bigger and better dash etc
ОтветитьJust go and buy a real Motorcycle . Plastic and Chrome two wheeled Camry . Boring !!!!!!
Ответить❤Sir I am gonna take a 2024 manual gear box . My purpose is to commute daily and go medium kind of touring occasionally . I am 5’9” tall . Do you think it’s worth for money ? I am offered 7439 British pounds for a brand new version in Saudi Arabia . Please advise
ОтветитьHonda OEM battery factory installed will breakdown at 10,000km even if the bike is under warranty Purchase warranty the battery breaks down is not covered prepare to spend for battery replacement!!!!!
ОтветитьNice but once again Pyramid fender extenders must be rubbing their hands with glee “ another one for the market Tosh!.££££😂”…why Honda don’t make an accessory or fit a removable part like the Interceptor for those mithered by “street” aesthetics, is beyond me?!…another potential undercarriage falling victim to the UK/Euro winter/wet cr@ppy roads ! 🙈…..nice bike though and great vid 😉😎👌
ОтветитьYou will hate to hear this, but 2025 version has the new color display with phone connectivity, nav, etc. I have heard folks say it will have cruise, but I am still thinking “too good to be true”…however if so, I will buy a new one instead of used.
Ответитьby the way the sound is incredible how do you keep it so quiet in your helmet??!
Ответитьbattery is on the other side
Ответитьa nice review but you've quoted a couple of wrong facts - this version weights 10kg LESS than your 2015 model, and it does come with a USB charge point, i know this 'cause i have this exact model and can charge my fone on the go (look again in the frunk)
ОтветитьExcellent video and just subscribed. Actually, having run a new NX500 for the last 8 months and come to a similar conclusion to you, I recently purchased an excellent low mileage example of the NC750X manual having test ridden one and was amazed at how similar it was to the NX but with a massive increase in torque. Excellent and clearly a solid conclusion. The NX is a brilliant bike but just needs a little more bottom end to make it perfect but then it would likely steal some sales from the NC I think.
ОтветитьThe 2 black front LED lights, are they a dealer added option or installed by the manufacturer? Thank you in advance friend!
ОтветитьI bought one new a year ago after trading my great vfr800 of 10 years. I have the manual. ( Can't get DCT here in New Zealand. I use mine for commuting and touring. I suits me perfectly for how I ride now. Manual gives me plenty with the torque it has too. Sure it's different than my vfr but like I said suits me fine. I do wish it had double front discs. Front braking seems a little soft. I see the 2025 version just released has them so Honda obviously fixed that issue by listening to riders. Anyways, thanks for your review.
ОтветитьThank you! Not interested in DCT and have been searching for vids on this bike with a traditional shifting version. Im looking at a 2nd/different/mid size bike to compliment my Harley Road King. Casual rides to some trails... fire roads...make coffee in the woods and come back, etc...
Ответитьif a motorcycle is your main mode of transportation, the nc750x is the best bike you can buy.
ОтветитьI always remember these bikes replaced the NT700 Honda Deauville: a shaft drive, “bullet proof” bike if ever there was one. As you imply it sounds as if they have finally come of age.
ОтветитьHello. Great video. A few weeks ago I get the NC750XD 2023. . You know where I can get the original kit to install the fog lights.? (Harness, fog ligth switch, etc) (Plug and play)
ОтветитьJust bought a 2023 DCT version and after having a vfr1200 DCT a number of of years ago I find the DCT so much more refined and absolutely love this bike.
ОтветитьHi. Have you ever ridden a vfr800 crossrunner? I’m torn between that and the NC as a 80 mile daily commute??
Ответитьhi i didnt own a bike like this but its interesting model...a lot of it infact...like the gas tank now it is not cut into halves and then the luggage compartment on the usual place of the gas tank...that is brilliant when all this is occupied the weight is in your CENTER IN THE MIDDLE OF THE BIKE PLUS THE RIDER,,,,though it is 750cc engine but it do all your necessary task...youre not going to do over the required purpose of this bike unless it is necessary but if you do (frequently)then complaints will come up....also the DCT/MT is a major major boost to all riders especially when on traffic, you have companion at your bike because you can balance it w/o thinking of holding your clutch lever when it stops frequenly you just brake throtlle and on...i think this bike is fantastic....you know its honda...of course there are people out there doesnt like the brand....but HONDA motorcycle WHO WOULDT WANT A HONDA...CHEERS
ОтветитьExcellent bib and braces video, loved the way you explained all we needed to know and left out what we didn’t need. I am currently thinking of changing my bike next March but I believe there is a very updated version of the NC due for then.
ОтветитьCan any one explains slipper clutch assistant in the nc750x manual ?
ОтветитьI like that motorcycle. I would like to have it, but it's not a problem in money, it's a problem in the height of the seat and my height. I'm 198cm tall and that bike is too short for me. Why didn't Honda's engineers make it possible for tall drivers as well? I am very afraid of leg shortening surgery😀
ОтветитьJust to note, while showing the dash….the flashing screen showing the modes, is normal, all you do when going from one mode to another is to just wind back the throttle, pause for a second, then it will engage the new mode and the flashing will stop…..
ОтветитьI have the 2024 DCT version, after not riding for 43 years….after a drunk driver almost took me out, but wrecked my RD 250LC…..and broke lots of me….anyway, I returned decades later, I chose the NC750DCT due to my wrist issues, I love this bike, I have added fender extender, radiator protector, centre stand, rear hugger and hand protectors…..I find that I tend to use the bike in manual when out and about on my island roads….using the flappy paddle shifters, easy to use, I do though put it into auto when riding in town…..best of both worlds, do I miss the foot gear shift….nope….it took me very little time to re learn riding very slow, its all amount throttle and rear brake control….a perfect bike for me, two points I am not so sure about, first the battery cover is a pig to try and get off, I now use Velcro to keep it in place, and I would like to have seen a standard USB charger fitted…..but all in all its a great bike, plenty enough grunt and speed, and brakes not too shabby…..of course it is all marmite when it comes to bikes, I just think you ride your own ride and you love your choice of bike, and to be honest I love all bikes…..we should all support each other…..cheers…nice review I thought…
ОтветитьI have had the NC750X manual since 2017 and it really bugles my mind how people don’t understand how great this bike is! Unmatched ABS brakes, low positioned weight on the bike body (saved my life many times), low rev torque, unbelievable low fuel consumption, literally unbreakable, reliable and problem free for almost 8 years every day long commute.
And I have tested it and it has a HUDGE off road capability! The guys from the enduro club couldn’t believe it!
I ❤ this machine! For whatever reason I may loose it some day, I’m buying the same!
Thanks for the video! 👍🏼😊
Anybody have problem with the reserve lamp coming on with 8 liters of
consumption.
Still riding a 2014 NC750x Manual.
bought it with low mileage (25000km) and in great condition a few months ago for a great price.
had to replace the front brakes and battery a month or so after, sadly the insurance didn't cover that.
I was lusting after a DCT 2020+ for some time now, but the more I ride the 2014 the more I love it so I will probably just eventually by a DCT version for my wife since she is also getting into bikes now.
Im on my 2nd manual version a '23 model, off to Europe next friday. Brilliant bike with a few mods (screen, suspension)
ОтветитьTry the nc750s manual as a comparison. You are slightly canted foreword. Good review thanks 😊
ОтветитьI own the 2024 model . Perfect for me at age 65..Love it. Ride your ride and be safe.
Ответитьj’ai la version DCT 2021 full options et a aucun moment je n’ai regretté mon choix malgré l’offre pléthorique des nouveaux modèles. La NC est une moto à part. Très attachante. Fiable, sûre, tellement facile a piloter. Tous les propriétaires que je connaisse ou avec lesquels j’ai échangé ont un rapport particulier à cette moto. La NC c’est une philosophie de la route, un état d’esprit. Honda a créé une merveilleuse machine a cruiser.
ОтветитьIt is so nice listening to you
ОтветитьIf only Honda would update that instrument panel !
ОтветитьI would seriously consider this bike if it had a larger fuel capacity. IMO 14 litres not enough.
ОтветитьI had a 2012 Nc700X Manual for 6 years and then bought a new NC750X DCT in 2019. I was very pleased with the DCT covering only 10,000 miles in 4 years though. I would have kept it but unfortunately, it was stolen from the street in Birmingham City Centre in June 2023. I needed a replacement machine very quickly as I was scheduled to lead a ride-out in Wales as part of an International Rally later that month. I didn't really think of anything other than an 750X but could not source a DCT quickly, either new or used, in the wider West Midlands area. I located a manual gearbox 2021 model in Shrewsbury and bought that. The 2024 model is no different from the 2021 model year variant except there are new colours available. My two year old replacement 'bike came with the optional higher Honda screen, and at 5' 11" I find it protects me from the wind and turbulence. I don't mess around with rider modes, leaving it Standard for everything. I haven't noticed the extra 4 bhp that the 2021 onwards models produce but I thought the previous model had plenty of useable performance. It took me a while to adjust to manually changing gear again but the gearbox is slick and the clutch easy to operate. I plan to keep this 'bike for a while and am not sure whether I would change it for a DCT. I had no DCT transmission issues, but I did only 10000 miles on it. Good to see your views, thank you!
ОтветитьI rented one of these in Portugal earlier this year. Great bike!
ОтветитьI swapped my 2019 BMW F850GS last September for a brand new NC750X manual and love it, no regrets.
ОтветитьHow would this compare to the cb500f in terms of performance and handling? I think this is a good looking bike and I would also go for the manual version. Nice bit of colour coordination with your bike and boots 🏍👍
ОтветитьI always carry a bag across the rear seat when touring. It's a pity they didn't put the fuel filler in the 'frunk', or to the side as on the F650.
ОтветитьCan you get it in a manual gearbox? In North America (we are often the last to get something) we still only have the DCT version.
ОтветитьThis is gonna be my next bike, I’m haven’t made up my mind about DCT or manual though.
ОтветитьI’ve got a 22 DCT version, ride almost every day all through the year and I absolutely love it. Low revving relaxed engine, upright comfortable riding position, unreal fuel economy (80 plus mpg) and built in storage. The only issue I have is the suspension. As a very light rider (under ten stones/64 kg) it’s very harsh particularly on the front. I’m in the process of modifying the forks to make them a bit more compliant and I’ll be fitting a Hagon shock as soon as they’ve finished their prototype work for this version. I’ve no plans to change this bike at all.
Ответитьif you think that stock exhaust is good, try a GRmoto can which I have on my NC750S sounds like a V-twin 😁
ОтветитьCross runner replacement?
ОтветитьI Have a 24 NC DCT, and it fits my needs perfectly. I have periferal neuropathy in both feet as a side effect of immunotherapy treatment, and simply cannot change gear with my foot. The DCT is fantastic, and suits the engine very well. However, having come from an MT09 SP, I find the suspension absolutely appalling, particularly the front, which has way too hard high-speed compression damping. Every small feature of the road is transmitted to the bars as a wrist breaking crash! The rear is perhaps not quite as bad, but has no adjustment. To be fair, the bike is built to a budget, and this is shown by the cost - £8770. Handling is OKish, but tight hairpins are a nightmare, the bike understeering with a vengance. I've just done the National Rally, 770 miles for the weekend, so the next job is a front fork cartidge upgrade, and hope that will improve things!
ОтветитьThe "Frunk" should be called a "Frank" as we don't call anything a trunk over in UK so as its a where the Tank is, and the play on words is Front Trunk for USA = "Frunk" The UK version should be Front Tank AKA "Frank"
Just been pedantic and English!
Best wishes!
