Listened to this and new divide... And the one thing she's missing on both is the intensity in the songs. I keep waiting for the punch on intensity but it's soft. And the whole thing is smooth... Don't get me wrong she has a great voice... But her style seems wrong

I dont love the original but I don't hate it either, consequentially I dont hate this cover but I don't love it either. Like many covers of bands with a deeper/dynamic male voice this is fine but feels "hollow" for me.

To call this a "rock cover" is a stupid marketing gimmick. There's a touch more electric guitar in the soundtrack that he's using than the original. Otherwise it's just someone else doing a regular cover of the song. It's a decent cover but I wouldn't write home about it. The only thing "rock" is this slight rasp that he puts on his voice when he sings.
