ОтветитьWow that is beautiful!😇😎
ОтветитьYou had a picture perfect day for starting at Katahdin! May that beautiful weather follow you all the way to Springer.
ОтветитьLooking forward to following you on your AT theu hike. First the Kennebec and now Katahdin. Press on.
ОтветитьGood job! So many beautiful vistas up there.
ОтветитьThe top of the moitain is so beautiful! I had only seen people with the sign, but never the surroundings.
What aplace to start.
I you run into Grayman walking, say hi. 😊
Have a great hike! Kaat
What a view up there! This video reminded me of the GR20 in some places, with the clambering up sketchy looking boulders, and the big rock field near the summit. Looks like a tough day, but a great reward to finally reach that summit.
ОтветитьWell done!
ОтветитьKatahdin ✅ Kennebec✅ Let The Games BEGIN! Looking forward to following along! 👊
ОтветитьIf I hear you say something is hard then I know for sure it is hard. Obvious why they close it for winter.
ОтветитьAMAZING!! 🔥 I love how you show the difficulties! People don't show enough of that. That is so complex! Did you have to take your pack off to climb any? Congratulations on the hardest summit yet! 😃💚👊
ОтветитьOh boy what a day!
ОтветитьLooks like you had absolutely perfect weather! Happy Trails! 🎉
ОтветитьThis video made me so happy. I don't think I stopped smiling the entire time. 😄 What a beautiful day to summit! That must mean mother nature is on your side for this journey. ❤
ОтветитьGlad youre stayin' safe up there!
ОтветитьAlphaGal: Hey GrayJay, you want to climb Katahdin with me?

ОтветитьYAY! Can't wait for the journey.
ОтветитьThanks for another great video John!
ОтветитьI used to think no one watches more thru hiking videos than I do, until I see your name in the comments on every single video I click on. So glad it's finally your turn.
I climbed Katahdin 5 days before you. It is absolutely hard as hell and I loved it. Looking forward to following. When you come back and flip, you starting at Springer?🤘🕓
I love all these thoughtful quotes. Here in Maine we have our own personal planetarium. I have hiked Katahdin twice in my lifetime. My wife and I just love the way you are filmingthe scenery is transcribing beautifully. Your imaged are coming across beautifully. What an awesome hike to the summit. Giant rock scrambles, rock fields. Free bouldering, rebar reverb hiking, and oh the wind man that wind you couldn't hear you, maybe use a wind covered wind shielded lavalier mic that plugs into your phone or record through a paircof Bose Sounds port earbuds. Love the sub alpine table lands, I picture heaven like that. Thank you for capturing the awesomeness and spectacularity of the Maine Wilderness. You are doing an awesome job and I really value you and your journey. Truthfully you have been very inspiring to me as my body has been in a very sick broken mode over the last 2 years, I just recovered from a major neck surgery and complete hip replacement, back surgery, and now undergoing a second hip and knee surgery so watching you from my hospital bed and recovering at home has been one of the only things that keeps my hopes, dreams, and spirits alive of returning to the AT TO DO MY THRU hike besides Mrs AG who has been my rock and dream and hope keeper. Watching you brings years of joy to my eyes. My wife and I celebrate you. Please, if there is ANYTHING you need, Want, Desire, we will send it to you, food, gear, even a ride and trailmagic, please tell me and we will be there to support you. As you know we now live in Maine, so whatever we can do to help you be successful, even gear, my gear room had been on lock down which deeply saddens me. I know the trail we'll you just tell us where to be and when and we will give you support. Keep on trakkin, you are doing a fantastic job.
ОтветитьAmazing crazy climb & views! Thanks my friend :). Great job!
ОтветитьBeautiful day for it. You can see how it might be more comfortable to hike with another person. Good luck.
ОтветитьWTF :) You did a much better job than I on depicting the steepness/sketchiness of the ascent.
ОтветитьOh man... that climb looks rough! My hardest hike was also in Maine, the Beehive in Acadia, lots of rebar and vertical ascents... my fear of heights nearly got me on that one. Glad you had such clear weather for this one!
ОтветитьWoohoo epic day!!!
ОтветитьThere were some rebar steps when I climbed Katahdin in '08, but no handholds that I can remember. I was only 55 back then.
