Looking over the 2000 ratings, ratings really started plummeting mid Feb, even getting a 1.8 on the first week of April. Ratings went up a little in the New Blood era till mid-Jun. While they were...semi ok during August, that episode where Russo came out in a cubicle atop a truck with Borash driving in October really killed interest...

After that episode I remember WCW really trying to promote themselves, doing a lot of overseas tours, giving away a LOT of free tickets and dropping pretty much all the drama.

PS: Anyone remember in March 2000 when Hogan and other wrestlers were doing those promos trying to get ratings up, asking what ppl want to see, etc?

There is a comment during the show that stuck with me 'Death by a thousand cuts'. Some people like to point to a single moment or a single person, when in reality it was a bunch of different people clashing, including the executives who were battling against it from day one in a way that I feel that a lot of people didn't know about, along with a bunch of decisions and moments creative wise by those people that just added up to 'Death by a thousand cuts'

It’s simple. WCW became too top heavy with veterans, veterans who had too much control over big decisions. Veterans who made a lot of money. It just became a big mess. NWO, NWO Hollywood, NWO Wolfpac, etc…. It was good for a while, but became very boring as it got drawn out.

Hulk revived it then backstabbed it first, bischoff gave it alcohol to bleed out faster, Russo gave it pills to put it out permanently, Bischoff refusing to acknowledge Hogan started the demise proves they are main culprits.

That whole series could have been done much better, they should have had Hogan , Sting, Flair, Jericho, Steiner, Jarret, Sid and Mysterio in the interviews instead of Konan
Felt like there was a lot left out, I know Rock produced it but his presence didn’t add anything to the whole series
