According to ✡️, Isaiah 9:6 (9:5 in the Tanakh) doesn’t read like how the Christians translate/understand it. It doesn’t read in a polytheistic context but in a monotheistic one.

According to Jewish understanding, the verse has nothing to do with Jesus (peace be upon him). If it did because they changed it, it still wouldn’t make him god nor divine.

Christian translation reads, “he will be called”, all these titles follow, making him the owner of the titles mentioned.

Jewish translation reads, titles follow first and the one mentioned in the titles will call him, the prince of peace. Totally different and doesn’t point to anything divine about the prince of peace. The One mentioned in the titles refers to God the Father, not Jesus.

Second thing worth mentioning is that this is a prophecy. If it doesn’t come true, Isaiah would made out to be a liar and therefore a false prophet. Rendering the whole of the book of Isaiah questionable. Jesus is nowhere in the Bible called EVERLASTING FATHER! Isaiah was a prophet and not a liar so therefore the Jewish translation and understanding is the correct 1️⃣ !

Jesus himself states he had much more to teach but could not reveal many things, as his people would not be able to bare them.
