Wow what a beautiful grand old mansion! Awesome video as always! 👍👍❤️🤘
ОтветитьWow what a beautiful place this was so much detail in there shame it’s been destroyed such a waste. At least you guys documented it before.
ОтветитьSuch a shame that such a beautiful building is trashed for no reason!
Thanks for documenting it as it was before it’s sad demise.
I will NEVER understand why some people feel the need to destroy something beautiful like this. You covered Clune Park school in Port Glasgow a while ago (I can't remember if you also got into the church next door) and those are earmarked for demolition now too because so many people went in to set fire to the place. I'm glad to have been able to see inside this beautiful old house, and I'm sad that it's gone.
ОтветитьBeautiful job guys👍
ОтветитьThanks for the interesting but also sad video lads. Having been born and bred in Paisley and recognised it was Paisley immediately, I am not in the least surprised that the place was vandalised and burnt down. Having lived there for the first 27 years of my life, Paisley was Scotland's largest town, and it was in my opinion, also one of Scotland largest crime ridden hell holes and with a council that is not much better. Having spent the next 37 year in different parts of Scotland, thankfully I have never come across the level of crime or poor town management that was in Paisley. That building in its day (The old House part) would have been outstanding like many of the older structures in paisley. However many of these structures like the old RAI hospital and the many mill buildings (Except Anchor Mill), have all been allowed to be destroyed by poor council decisions. Thanks for making the long journey up to record the building and as you say, its a pity that many of the other explorers don't have the ethics that the three of you always demonstrate.
ОтветитьAmazing building, such gorgeous interior and the architect was a legend. Such beauty.
Very surprised wasn't filled with illegals as here in Ireland any empty building, office, warehouse etc is being taken over
Sad to hear about the demise of such a place, thanks preserving it in a video.
ОтветитьBeautiful stain glass windows and roof glazing. That fabulous wall mirror now it’s all lost that’s an incredible shame. Vandals are always a big problem to buildings like this.
ОтветитьI'm really sad now, that stained glass was lovely 😢
ОтветитьI am surprised a beautiful building like that lasted so long in Paisley. Absolute bombsite of a place.
ОтветитьWhat a stunning building it once was. I wonder more about the history. Who had it built. A shame that the youths of the local area have no respect. Great explore. Thanks for showing what was once there.
ОтветитьYes, we're all so far stating what a good video and what a crying shame it is what's happened to the grand old girl.
I'm imagining the place a couple of years in the future as beautifully restored and worthy of its listing.
Not just that but the culprits justly exposed to the full weight of the law.
Likewise the owner obliged by the law and the listing too to rebuild and return it phœnix~like to better than original. And the de-listing planners de-bagged.
It might sound fanciful but it's finally being done with listed buildings in England that suffer suspicious circumstances and should have been the norm for donkeys.
Best of all, they'd have to use this vid as a major reference of how it looked.
Glad you got to see this place before it got destroyed and shared it with us. Thank you! Why do people have to destroy a property?
ОтветитьSo it's gone and with all the incredible art work. The council lost a museums worth of culture. Even staircases can be taken out. What does this loss say about the ideals of the UK? Where is the pride and respect? Thanks for doing what you do
ОтветитьThat was amazing and so beautiful ! Thank you 😊
ОтветитьI remember this place well. Sadly the demolition application has now been submitted after the dodgy fire. On the flip side, a planning application has been approved to redevelop what is left of the old RAI..... at long last!
Ответитьye need tae aye keep th location o' th exploration secret. This an ainly this wi keep th sites safe frae vandals.
ОтветитьNothing but respect for the way you run the channel lads
Ответитьgreat explore, just amazing, keep up the great content!!
Ответитьso sad.
ОтветитьAwesome work as always guys. Another structure that I am so happy you documented ...
ОтветитьGreat video guys well done 👏 you do great work keep going and please stay safe always take extra care 🥰🏠‼️
ОтветитьI live in the flats overlooking the house. It was heartbreaking watching it go up in flames 😢 even after that, eejits were still going in, even having parties, in the newer built building!! Thank you so much for allowing me to see the beautiful architecture and original features before they were all lost forever
ОтветитьWhat a beautiful building how sad that it got vandalised so bad and a fire then had to be demolished that is dreadful
ОтветитьThank God that you got in there to document this beautiful building! It really does boil my piss that vandals have to ruin such beauty, and i just cannot fathom what they get out of such moronic behaviour. Thankyou for doing what you do, i really appreciate it!😻
ОтветитьLovley building typical a building costs the owners too much money to fix up so suddenly self combusts leaving them free to build fancy flats or houses or the land.
ОтветитьBeautiful building
ОтветитьWhat a grand building and a crime it’s went to this state
ОтветитьSome people are offended by beauty
ОтветитьGlasgow and the west of Scotland has a “reputation “for listed buildings going on fire.Don’t worry though I’m sure they will build student flats.
ОтветитьThe mindless vandalism to these amazing old properties is so sad to see. Setting fire and vandalism to buildings seems to be part of the mindless human history of a certain minority of the youth for centuries.
ОтветитьIt annoys me so such history ruined by morons. It doesn't make you a big man. There was potential to restore it. Comes with a man cave - the extension
ОтветитьWhat a great place it must have been when very first built. Such lovely stairs and covings. Such a shame it got destroyed 😢
ОтветитьLove the intro and history and amazing it's amazing how its stood test of time keep up the good work 😊
ОтветитьGreat show men !👍
ОтветитьBeautiful Building.
ОтветитьWhat a shame to see such a stunning building and years of history lost forever. I find it very suspicious how so many listed or historic buildings have been going up in flames recently. Earlier this month we had the grade iii listed former Odeon Cinema in Hartlepool up in flames and is currently being demolished, and lost other fine buildings such as the Crooked House Pub in Staffordshire and the old grade ii listed cinema in Preston (as visited by this channel) also lost by fire.
What's particularly odd is how we very rarely find out the cause of these fires or it's teenagers and their identity is protected. They are almost always a complete burn out too. Can't help but think this is done intentionally so someone or some big business can get their hands on the land
That’s a bit heartbreaking. One of the last things humans intrinsically have for free, that hasn’t been tainted or taken away, is an ability for awe and wonder...and the artisan craft in construction like this is a big part of that. Sadly replaced with more functional, lower quality, less esoteric form as time passes so these last surviving hidden gems are a true loss.
Thank you so much for documenting it so well
If you're ever in Northern Ireland again, you need to check out the former Austin's Department Store in Derry. It was the world's oldest independent department store until it closed in 2016.
ОтветитьPitty of the vandalism... you have been to other countries as Urbex, comparing the amount of vandalism, would you say that it is worse in the UK than elsewhere?
ОтветитьA grand stone manor with a grand exterior and you say …‘ unassuming exterior’
Think you need to go back to school and learn English … the last thing this grand stone manor’s exterior is …. Is unassuming lmao
Wonder if there was a failed planning application just before the fire started, seems to be the norm in England, guessing Scotland has its similarities
ОтветитьLovely craftsmanship from an era when there was pride in architecture and construction, unlike the boring, generic mass-produced tat the volume housebulders knock up now.
ОтветитьNO THEY WOULD NOT LAST SO MUCH LONGER.......WHAT YOU DESCRIBED IS THE NORMAL PLAYBOOK OF GLASGOW CITY COUNCIL!
THEY TAKE AN IMPORTANT BUILDING....SUCH AS THIS ONE.....THEY PAY PEOPLE TO BREAK IN....AND DAMAGE IT SEVERELY OVER A PERIOD OF TIME....THEN A FIRE HAPPENS....USUALLY AT A WEEKEND OR A HOLIDAY....SO NO ONE IS AVAILABLE FROM THE COUNCIL.....STATUS OF BUILDING IS REVOKED.....AND A INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT EDIFICE IS DEMOLISHED TO THE GROUND...USUALLY ON A DAY WHEN IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND ANYONE IN AUTHORITY.WHO COULD PREVENT IT FROM HAPPENING.
INEVITABLE FOR THAT HOUSE....EVERY WINDOW HAD A VIEW OF CHEAP HOUSING CLOSE BY....FAR CLOSER THAN ANY ONE WHO COULD AFFORD A BIG PLACE LIKE THAT WOULD TOLERATE!
THE ONLY OTHER CHANCE WOULD BE TO SPLIT IT UP INTO FLATS...BUT THAT REQUIRES INTELLIGENCE AND HARD WORK....TWO THINGS THAT YOU WILL NEVER FIND IN COUNCILS ESPECIALLY TOGETHER!
NO....THAT GORGIOUS BUILDING DIDN'T STAND A CHANCE......BUT PLEASE DON'T BLAME LOCAL NEDS ETC.......WHEN WE KNOW WHO THE REAL CRIMINALS ARE!!
It is terrible to see such waste, when people are homeless, because of a shortage of homes for people. Why not renovate this building into flats, instead of leaving it to rot. Disgusting.😪
ОтветитьAs well as your videos are fantastic but always leave me cross and upset that the extraordinary beauty that you find inside these places which is quite unusual is allowed to just go. I’m sure it could have been created into a public space or something and is beyond sad that they allow places like this to deteriorate to the point they need to be demolished as they are getting rarer and rarer
Ответить😭 Typical
