I just thought about it. She only wanted him to play in the pool. Have fun. But no. Wtf. A simple gesture of fun, turned into all of all that. Damn
ОтветитьI hate Beyonce has mentioned several times how she loves Tina and has heard the comparisons about how she performs like Tina used to, so to get to meet your icon, honor her, actually spend TIME with a LEGEND and then making a song with your soup lip cooler hubby, basically mentioning her and Ike and in the way the blk community has always used her name, to joke about her trauma and such, Tina has stated FOR YEARSSSSS why she left the states and didn’t care pretty much about some of our community bc of the disgustingly disrespectful 💩 some of us have made into memes, jokes and laughed at pertaining to her trauma🙄🥴💯👏🏾👌🏾💁🏽♀️ she even said she felt hurt that Beyonce even made that reference in the way she did and the song I’m speaking of is Drunk In Love👌🏾 she had met Tina and etc BEFORE that song, how distasteful 🥴‼️I was younger first seeing this movie and everytime I watch it and at different stages and ages of my life, I see and recognize and even can relate to Tina and how hard she’s fought her whole life, as a blk woman and we have NEVERRR properly appreciated, loved and respected nor gave her HER 💐 ‼️ I know 👸🏾 Tina is resting and in Peace🥹🫶🏾
ОтветитьI have been laughing at this movie since it came out because of the acting I'm glad I am not the only one! 🤣🤣🤣
ОтветитьI am watching on her birthday , RIP TINA
ОтветитьUh ugh don’t do that Jackie
ОтветитьIt’s not alright less the mfs pounds on you
ОтветитьGreat final thoughts and video. I am a Memphis Girl also. I play Tina every chance I get. The definition of the baddest Rest in paradise Anna Mae Bullock 🧡
ОтветитьLaurence Fishburne was handsome as all get out in this movie but their talent portraying these roles really made us wanna yank his ass out the Matrix 😂
ОтветитьYall do know Tina already had a whole child with one of Ike bandmates and she still link with Ike..Come on, Tina everyone knows you can't be chilling with the homies eventually something is gonna get messy. They left that part out in the movie..the homies are off limits.
ОтветитьFave Tina Turner song: "We Don't Need Another Hero" and "Golden Eye" (i think that's the name)
Giiiirl, I just want to tell you how much I love your commentary during the videos. You have me dyin! I've already watched 3 today! Keep it up girl! You are doin your thang!❤👏🏾👏🏾💯❤
I remember watching this in the theaters. When Tina punched Ike, the whole theater erupted with cheers and applause.
Ответить‘My guy….she was just en route to da king & here you come w/ all these requests’ 🤦🏾♂️🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
ОтветитьYes there's a few Ramada inns in Iowa
ОтветитьFun but sad fact: Tina Turner said she never watched the movie. This was to her dying day 😢
ОтветитьIke was such a piece of shit 😂 Angie and Lawrence played tf outta these role
ОтветитьThe Hotel is called “the Lorenzo” now
ОтветитьWe owe IKE an apology. That film wasn’t the full story according to people who actually knew them.
They were BOTH out there. And she was into some crazy, dark things. Please do your research 😢
Rip Ike turner, I’m sure he’s looking up at us now
ОтветитьJudge Joe Brown has videos right now saying otherwise, that Ike wasnt aware before he signed, but tuna wasn't as innocent as the movie portrays. Go look those videos up too
ОтветитьI remember going to see this movie when I was pregnant with my 2nd baby by a man who liked to put his hands on me. During the violent scenes, I couldn't hold back the tears.
ОтветитьReally sad story because it happened a lot especially in the 70s-80s heroin and cocaine almost completely destroyed us this wasn't the real Ike the real Ike is the sober pre cocaine Ike Turner. Unfortunately he never got clean and stayed clean
ОтветитьNew to your channel and I’m loving it ❤
Ответить❤❤❤❤ Your final thoughts.
❤❤❤❤❤
"Ike was a damaged soul, no one could have saved".
ОтветитьIt takes my 100 year old auntie to talk about Ike 😭😭😭 yes she’s still living and mind not slow and mouth isn’t either. She said he was stuttering stupid son of who
ОтветитьGirl, first off . Thank you for giving us Life with this movie cause I’m 6 minutes in and already KNOW I’m finna watch WLGTDWT after this video…yes ma’am
ОтветитьMy elementary school teacher/surrogate father from Jamaica was in love with Ms. Tina Turner. I loved teasing him about his crush.
ОтветитьIconic film. Still stings that they never got Oscar’s for this film.
ОтветитьThe only part that I found SLIGHT humor in was when Tina finally fought Ike's evil ass BACK. Other then THAT, this movie was not funny, like AT ALL. The scene where she's beaten and dragged throughout the house like trash, and the scene where he rapes her, are still hard to look at. And her mom NEVER showed her love, all she cared about was the MONEY. This was a REAL WOMAN'S PAIN. And I wouldn't want someone laughing at me while my husband beats my ass because it's NOT FUNNY. Im just glad she finally got away. R.I.P TINA TURNER.
ОтветитьI've noticed all the pictures Ike and Tina took together she looked uncomfortable and afraid. Even on the album cover "Workin' Together", she looked terrified.
ОтветитьTill this very day, I can't watch this movie because I watched my dad do this to my mom when I was growing up. Just watching this video is a step for me. I still won't watch the whole movie, though.
ОтветитьIm 39. I really enjoy your channel I’m glad I found it 😀
Ответить😂😂😂😂 definitely a comedy to me especially knowing it’s based off her delusion cause she was really obsessed with him smh rip Ike Turner
ОтветитьIT WAS 65 , LETS GET DOWN WITH SHAKE A TAIL FEATHER 🪶!!!
ОтветитьThe polka dot outfit is so 🔥 I’ve always wanted that outfit
ОтветитьMy favorite part is “Now you know you need an Asswhoopin”. 😂😂😂
ОтветитьWe need a Tina Turner movie part two! When she started her solo career, she also was flat, broke, sleeping on her friends couches and cleaning their houses. She had a mega career in the 80s and 90s. I would love to see a movie about that part in her life.
ОтветитьThank you so much for not showing the violent part. I watched this as a kid with my aunt who was shot by my grandmother (this was my aunts favorite movie, especially for when tina ran) and i saw my mother go through similar events with my father... so those parts are the reason i can't watch this movie anymore
ОтветитьI watched this movie as a kid and it shocked the hell out of me ( I snuck and watched it) once I found it was based on a true story I was mortified! Smh
Ответить"tell Leanne if she miss a step tonight, she'll be frying fish tomarr" 🤣😭⚰️
Ответить"Her mom was trashy as hell" LOL
ОтветитьHer success after the trauma is why we(she). Can laugh at it now?
ОтветитьI wish the movie was accurate. At the time she signed/sold her book rights without realizing she forgot to add to her contract script and movie scenes approval. I love Tina and her voice. But as a fan of Tina's I felt betrayed by the movie for example, Tina's Wish was recorded in the 1970s and placed on the Nut Bush City Limits project in 1973. Also the rape scene never happened, because Ike's studio established in 1972 which was called Bolic Sound. Plus the Nut Bush City Limits project was released in 1973 not 1974. In the end it means Ike and Tina Turner never recorded or had a made up studio in their home, while living in their home in California. I read I Tina about three or four times and I thought to myself reading this and watching the movie, the movie and the book does not mach in any way. Tina made a mistake about her contract with disney and that mistake cost her dearly, that is why in some ways the movie turned out untruhful. I still in the world of acting Miss.Bassett and Mr.Fishburne did wonderful work protraying Ike and Tina Turner. Miss.Tina I am very sorry on how the movie about your life on the big screen turned out so untruthful in some scenes.
ОтветитьSomething I found strange was when Beyonce and Jay z did Drunk in Love and during his verse they did the part "Eat the cake Anna Mae". We all know that this is a movie but Beyoncé had stated that Tina Turner was one of her idols and she met and performed on stage with her. I found that line to be disrespectful, and I still do to this day, I wonder why she did that? Maybe she separated her art and that movie from actually knowing Tina Turner personally.
ОтветитьLmfao 🤣 I was just watching this movie on Tubi the other night. I was just thinking how social media made this movie a comedy …. Bruh 🤣🤦🏾♀️ can’t take black folks anywhere . I can’t believe how we made narcissistic abuse funny . It’s sad af
ОтветитьI never thought what Tina Turner(R.I.P) and so many other women are and have gone through with domestic violence. Some men get abused too. The old choir lady is a hater. Let that little let her light shine for God
ОтветитьMy husband cries during the highway scene every time he watches that movie! His mom was a huge Tina fan, so he basically grew up with the movie in his house. I've only ever seen that kind of reaction out of him a couple other times. The plane crash at the end of "Sweet Dreams", which is the one about Patsy Cline. He starts tearing up the minute they leave that little airport.
The homecoming concert at the end of "The Rose" when Bette Midler tells the manager she's not going to the hospital, he's crying through the entire "Stay With Me" concert scene.
The three besides those that I've seen him wrecked the worst by were "Titanic" (He bought the love story part of it so when Leo DiCaprio dies, he's a mess.) 2nd worst, "Fried Green Tomatoes" when Ruth is dying at the end and she asks Idgie to tell her the lake story. And 3rd, probably the one I've seen him cry the hardest during is "Steel Magnolias" during the funeral scene, once Sally Field goes into her line of "I wanna know why!"
Since we are paying "homagggeee", name your fave Tina Turner song.
