Those shorts steve Olson rocked. Him and diane. A lot of them used those pants for the padding. It helped them excell way faster at learning tricks and falling etc. I made a version myself. Whatevs
ОтветитьRemember Flip's rippled decks
Ответить💔💔💔💔💔💔
ОтветитьRip Jeff you will be truly missed
ОтветитьR.I.P. Dick Damage
ОтветитьMan Grosso was so chill. RIP homie :-(
ОтветитьRIP GROSSO!!! Bummer!
ОтветитьWow....the intro takes me way back....I ordered the Z-groove wheels from ValSurf back in 1979 , deadly fast and no grip at all , once they broke free in a slide they would never regain traction and the were 100a durometer back then....
ОтветитьAnd skateboarding is still loaded with gimmicks like the small wheels and any wheel that claims to be over 100a because there's no such thing....
ОтветитьRIP
ОтветитьI remember those tiny wheels in 94. I didnt have them and i was jealous of everyone else.
ОтветитьYeah theeves got that titanium truck game
ОтветитьI wish this guy was still alive. Too many fucking stupid ass clones in LA skating the same boards, same trucks, all manufactured clones. Smfh. No individuality and style these days. Just a buncha pussies w popsicle stick boards. And if anybody is offended, pull up.
Ответить::(
ОтветитьGoing back through all this now that hes gone..mannn
Ответить39ers small wheels. We ground our own down too on Paul’s bench grinder at Belmont Bike Shop. Whole shop smelled like urethane yet Paul put up with us.
ОтветитьWE FUCKIN MISS YOU!!!!! REST IN PEACH GROSSO!!!!!
ОтветитьI feel the same way Olson does about everything. Fuck it whatever.
ОтветитьHe didnt talk about Santa Cruz cell blocks.. that was a total rip off
ОтветитьFingerboarding isn’t a gimmick, it’s a way of life
ОтветитьAt 1 mins 14 seconds Josh Brolin from the goonies!
ОтветитьRip....
Ответитьah man, the Z-roller, I remember those at Hobbies skate shop in Brossard, suburbs of Montreal. 1988
ОтветитьRip jeff
ОтветитьDoes Ricta still make those piece of shit hollow core wheels??? Hollow anything is just a terrible idea. Trucks, Element helium series...you name it. RIP Jeff, this show is amazing.
ОтветитьDoes anyone remember Almost had a deck that the whole board had bolt holes all over it? You could put trucks anywhere and they marketed by saying you could add extra trucks for manual training wheels. Or Elements siamese decks that were the fusion of two different pros and the gimmick was there is no tail. They even had a contest for best regular and switch trick. Back in the good old days of the CCS catalogues. I tried googling those 2 boards and can’t find anything.
ОтветитьWelcome back to the letters
-jeff grosso
loved the Bird
ОтветитьThe bit at the end, with the guy talking about steel wheels. haha ... Why can I see hipsters bringing back steel wheels. 😂
ОтветитьI am shocked, SHOCKED, Boneite didn't make the list. Or Tall Bones. Or that stupid riser which flaired out to disperse the weight when landing airs of a blast ramp. Only recently found the love letters and it's my favorite thing. RIP Grosso
ОтветитьI always wish these were an hour long
ОтветитьI still ride Gullwings today. Yes the groove makes grinding easier but I just like the way they turn better than other brands.
ОтветитьOJ wheels make some gimmicky products, but they work REALLY well.
ОтветитьRIP GROSSO
Ответитьdude what was that ending clip haha, i wanna watch the whole thing
ОтветитьOlsen is my favorite lol
ОтветитьSteel wheels? Geez, his knees must feel great. lol
ОтветитьYou guys forgot 2020s biggest gimmick, hollow kingpins!
ОтветитьTo anyone who was skating in the late 80's, what were those foam stick on grips called?. You'd place the stick on grip up by your nose (or anywhere) you'd grab to do an air, so your hand wouldn't slip!.. Anyone know what they were called?
ОтветитьA gimmick in one man's time becomes a revolution today look at bmx scooters and e scooters as transportation today
ОтветитьBefore Skyhooks we used a bicycle inner-tube. We would wrap under the board and yank ourselves into the air.
ОтветитьMiss Grosso
ОтветитьFirst skate gimmick I saw was Sky Hooks.Way fun tho!!!
ОтветитьI thought the channel was to break your weed up on?
ОтветитьWerent stickers at one time either the top selling skateboard product or the most grossing or something like that....or still is...i bet its shoes now
ОтветитьMa dude kick fliped a rip stick lmao
ОтветитьWho the kook at the end praising steel wheels ??
ОтветитьOlson... “Who fucking cares” smoking a cigarette in the house. Such a legend 😂😂
ОтветитьRails were a must in 1980.
