Osu!
ОтветитьWhat if you feel like you're getting better? how do you fix this issue?
ОтветитьMy mindset is that if im having a bad day then im just practicing to improve my bad days so that the next bad session won't be as bad as this bad session
ОтветитьI started playing last month and I've practiced for hours every day with the exception of when my left hand started to hurt. Hyperfixating isn't new to me but I do feel like I'm starting to exhaust myself and overcomplicate things (I'm not getting worse, but I'm starting to hit a skill wall).
I just love it though, I've tried doing other things but I feel like an entire galaxy's been opened for me.
Thanks for the reminders and tips!
It’s not even the fact that I have a gud mindset I’ve reset my mindset everyday for osu took break thought of many ways to do it and I get the same result of I can’t fc anything so I’m still searching for the problem
Ответитьswitch to left hand
ОтветитьAm i the only one that sees the circles going slower after taking at least 5 days break
ОтветитьSo in started working a job which is 9hrs per day minimum and probably more most of the time. Way there and back home another 2-3hrs. Its also exhausting... so I guess I have to say goodbye to osu
ОтветитьYou should do a colab with whitecat
ОтветитьI don't get gradually worse only better but good job on making the video
ОтветитьThis is interesting..
Ответитьplay less = gain more
ОтветитьI cant even fc shitty farm jump maps anymore :/
Ответитьcan relate, i don't seem to improve as fast as i used to
Ответить"Trust your training"
ОтветитьI've been hardstuck 36K - 37K for the past 6-8 months.
I no longer play this game anymore, I lost my two 300s after rework and have not gotten a 300
i just shitmiss and I just end up hitting my skill potential
Hey I saw you on the osu Florida team!! Nice to see one of my favorite osu creators on team Florida!
ОтветитьWhat do you think about my schedule each week? Cuz recently i started trying to focus more on having fun and playing the game when i feel freshen up and take breaks when i feel physically/mentally tired and usually these breaks take around 1-3 days
ОтветитьWhen i dont have a good night, i dont even touch the game since i know i'll play badly.
ОтветитьA little unrelated but any tips on improving single tapping? I can stream 250-260 with decent acc after practicing my technique but I can't seem to find any alternate ways to single tap. Single tapping is stuck at 210 and even then thats kind of uncomfortable and I run out of stamina.
ОтветитьFor me its a decline in will to do anything i just wanna sleep
ОтветитьYup, used to be top 1k in osu mania in US and like 6800-ish worldwide. After 133 hours the game gets boring and all of my top pp plays are from quarantine when I had time. It’s a continuous cycle I see with almost any rhythm game, you lose interest and gradually get worse.
Ответитьi have been playing osu mania [4k] for almost 4 years and i have been stopped by a wall which made me demotivated
i lost a lot of skill because i barely played and couldnt beat my old scores
until i came back like 5 months ago and now i can beat most of my old scores and set 2x 400 pp plays which i had trouble with
so i smashed the wall i have been stopped by and got to 4 digit. :D
Me: dont have an internet but decent at the game and not knowing my rank
Ответить"this relates to getting proper sleep"
well, think ive found the culprit.
but then whats with 3am buff?
Osu is a lifestyle at this point lol
Ответитьi ALWAYS stop playing if i feel slight burnout. one really nice thing about this game is that you can quit whenever you want (unless you're in a tournament setting) so i really do take advantage of that. i've been on a huge break and haven't touched osu nearly as much yet i've been setting a lot of really nice no mod plays (i suck at no mod as i am most comfortable with HR) and have had high 200pp to 300pp chokes, keep in mind i'm only rank 80k. specifically for the people that put in a lot of hours and feel like what they're doing isn't working, i think the best thing you could do is take a long break to reset any bad habits you've built from over playing. when you are done with your break i think it's important to practice specific skills you're fundamentally lacking in.
ОтветитьThis is very true sometimes I gotta take maybe a day break from Osu
ОтветитьI rly gotta take a break, I've gone from streaming 180 to losing stamina at 150
Ответитьthis is the only merit in having strict parents
Ответитьbro, my bad days is whole month, im staying for 28 days in one rank
Ответитьhonestly i just think that its because sometimes you improve very fast so when you improve slower you feel like you are getting worse. Its a case of your mindset fucking you up and honestly the only way i started to improve again was when i stopped caring about improving and just played for fun until i eventually get very fast improvement again, then the never ending cycle repeats itself.
Ответитьi havent gained pp in almost 2 years
Ответитьyeah it's really better to turn off your brain when you're trying to fc something. Fun fact. When people fc something or hitting patterns that seems almost impossible for your current skill level, some players say "what the f*ck did I just do", "How did I do this", or anything that you felt surprised. That's you turning off your brain and letting the brain do it's thing. That's where most top players get their what people call it "clips". It really shows that when you trust your brain, you can really surpass the usual skill level you're on
Everyone is good in osu. It's just that specific type of mindset is preventing you to become one.
it has been months, I am legitly getting worse and worse over time. I gave myself enough rests, tried fixing my techniques, went back to the basics, tried to not think that I'm getting worse, playing songs that I like and just enjoying the music. I am well aware that improving can take a lot of time.I watched tons of videos like this, and I fully agree that everyone can improve and I've seen a lot of players improve even slowly, but once I start playing, the scores says it all. I cant beat my previous scores, they're not even close. I went like almost 1 star rating below compared to before. After a while I started playing offline, to take away the pp system from my thoughts, even honestly I don't care about pp anymore. Nothing works. I don't want to quit, I love this game. But right now, after almost half a year of degrading, it feels like I've hit a wall, and then the wall hit me back to where I was before hitting the wall. Every session I went through pushes me back further and further. Sometimes I put NF just to enjoy the songs in case I failed in the middle. 30+ days of playtime and I barely step on top 100k. Not to mention the amount of time I played offline. At this point, I'm not expecting any improvement at all, all I want is just to not get worse. This is nuts and it's driving me crazy. I can't believe this is happening. It's so fkn sad. Maybe it's my fault, maybe things just go wrong around me, maybe I'm just unlucky, or as eminem said, maybe that's what happens when a tornado meets a volcano. I hope no one will ever face this. Anyways, goodbye osu.
Ответитьsleep and resting is a huge impact on my experience. I slept <4hrs that week and I played for 8hrs+ in sessions. I am dizzy af but I still keep on playing for some reason. My speed is very slow especially my reading ability I can't process some patterns that isn't even that complicated
ОтветитьNew idea of getting better, play healthier not more.
ОтветитьAs im writing this, am Rank 111k, over 1k hours of playtime, and 32k ish playcount (Yes, i dont retry much at all).....enough said.
ОтветитьTaking breaks helps a lot. I was on a "skill cap", i was playing for an entire month and didnt improve at anything, so i took a break for like 2weeks and when i came back, i played for just 1week and improved a lot (that was 1yr ago btw)
ОтветитьI'm not getting worse I just can't rank up
Ответитьwhy is my rating behind? is this a thing thats wrong for me, or is it for everyone? Because it says i am lvl 6, when im lvl 18, it says i've played the game for 19 minutes, when i've spent hours playing, it says i have no As or Ss when i do, it says my maximum combo is in the 100s, when its actually in the 1000s, and it says im getting worse, but i've definitely seen major improvements.
Is this a problem on my end, or with the rating system?
after further examination, i have learned that my rating may be of regular osu, not mania, but i dont know how to get to my mania ratings
I FIGURED IT OUT, its still a bit behind, my max combo is in the 700s, and i dont have any Ss, but i'll just wait i guess to see if it catches up tomorrow
Ive suddenly and i mean suddenly been plummeting in rankings and shit. like the past 2 months it was like oh Im basically playing 4 stars and getting like top 25 about and now im not even scratching it like scores 100s of ranks lower and I am missing the simplest shit that wasnt even a challenge at any point. No amount of rest, taking a break to play other games for a while, or changing my "mindset" helps whatsoever. I didnt start really caring about my scores until they started plummeting since this was kinda fun but now its enraging seeing my old scores taunt me showing that ill never reach them again.

How to actually Play More
I don't play osu but I do play project sekai, this happend to me like 2 days ago, i suddenly got so worse at the game I was shocked myself. After this video maybe you're right its probably about sleep, i actually kept playing till like 1am at night, my eyes were literally really red and I was tearing up, later that day I woke up at 6am, yeah probably its sleep, thanks for the advice, i'll get some good sleep.
ОтветитьThankfully this isnt happening to me anymore at the moment anyway,
mainly because im playing high bpm, techy, and long af (4-5min+) and loads but i still rest.
Studying before bed can help you with results, so ive applied that to osu!,i also play in the morning with the highest energy of the day.
So i play in the morning and before i go bed, in the morning i focus on dt and high bpm and high ar,
at night i focus on lower star maps and higher cs maps or higher od maps,
i only play pp maps once every week kinda
Simply Loading long maps with cs 6.2 and speed 1.3x in mcosu is the ultimate way tho tbh lol
i know this question is going to sound stupid, specially because i'm a year late but, i'm having this exact problem and it's probably because i haven't played every single day like i used to, but now that i'm trying to come back a little more efficiently, i wanted to ask. should my pauses / breaks be 10 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours? and should they be completely away from devices and doing something like eating or exercising, or not doing anything at all, just sitting around. or can they be in devices, just not playing anything / playing a different game? (i hope this made sense)
ОтветитьIf I play every day but only for 3 hours, do I still need days off?
ОтветитьThat easy for white cat to say. He's a top player my guy
ОтветитьI can see everything but i cant tap fast enough😢 maiby i need rest and a new keyboard bcs i aint even close to my old scores
ОтветитьMy illiterate ass misread title as "Why Germans getting worse at osu"
