99% Of Truck Drivers Do Not Agree With This Statement About Male Truck Drivers

Thoughts????? I understand this topic sparks an emotional conversation, but I truly think the men and women in trucking help each other if they see someone struggling to backup.

I been asked to get into 2 different female truckers to back there truck an trlr. So I said no, but I'll spot you. Not sure why she upset looks like she in a day cab not a road truck. Certain company carries even give you a time limit on backing so yes it is a timely issue to back most shippers & receivers will tell you yes backing is a timely issue. Especially when they have a lot of traffic. Go to the ports or rail yard. See they give you time to back most time they give you 2 to 3 pull up I'd you hadn't got in the spot move to the side so others that are skilled can get backed in an stop our clock for those who are on the clock while backing.

Talk about disrespecting, if you see her in trouble just don’t offer her help. Drivers don’t want their trucks hit by someone with less experience and will help out so their mirrors or hoods

This lady does not speak for me. I know when I 1st started driving backing up 4 me was hard and still sometimes now. So I just want 2 say thank u for all the men that have helped me through my trucking career.

I just try to help when I can when I see someone having trouble backing or any issue, if they look like they got it I don’t bother😂. Doesn’t matter if it’s a man or a woman and try to give them pointers. We all went thru things when we first started trucking.

If I see you take more than 5 min to get back into the spot, I will get out of my truck and see if you need help, regardless of gender. Also, two eyes are always better than one

If your a trashcan, we don’t have all day for you to back. One day a week my brother and I have 24 hours to drive 1400 miles. truckers used to help me when I was rookie if they saw me struggling. It’s pretty easy to tell a rookie or someone that can’t back. Yes sometimes even us truckers with a million miles struggle on an easy back.

I’ve actually seen this. But I don’t help anyone.
I was asked by a female driver to help her nail 2/4’s together to brace the lead we were picking up. The shipper demanded it.
I had my own to nail together. So I said no. She persisted, and I told her she makes the same or more than I do. If you can’t do the job, then that’s your problem. Not mine.
I’m not about to do unpaid labor because you took a job you can’t do. Go smile at someone else and see if they will help you do your job.
She wasn’t happy. I don’t care!
I’ve had other drivers just come up and start flinging their arms around like I don’t know my job. I POLITELY tell them, I appreciate what they are trying to do, but I don’t want them to help.
Real reason. I don’t know this person, they make me nervous being around my truck and now, I have to look out for these nitwits flinging their arms around and not making any sense whatsoever, that’s on top of everything else I’m trying to avoid. I NEVER trust anyone I don’t know! Period!
If I want help, I ask… but it’s usually to ask the shipper or consignee to move their vehicles to have enough room to back into the dock.

Cuz the guys expect to get laid when they help. I deal with that crap all the time.

People have helped me and I’m a dude but dudes want to help ladies because they were taught too and sometimes they could be horn dogs 😂

Ohh. It's one of them. Just recognize her and offer no assistance at all and move on to the one's that are not one of them.

This is clearly an insecurity for her. She needs to get over herself. This attitude from women these days,is exactly why men have a bad vibe all together when it comes to being courteous. Male driver here! Am actually jealous of how much you’re being helped. The end goal is safety so anytime someone goes out of their way to be my spotter I feel blessed. Don’t care if it’s female, male or Martian. Reason 1 they jump out it’s case some out here are gentleman. 2 comradely and 3 no one prefers a broken hood over a safe maneuver. And yes, no coincidence she sees more males. It’s just statistics. So anyone out there who wants to spot me, please and thank you! Long hood, long wheelbase and spread axles are not really a walk in the park to back in between two trucks after 11 hrs drive. 😂😂😂

Rarely would we know your gender, or your skin color when we get out of our truck to help a driver in need. I'm sure someday soon, if she's even driving in the next few months, she'll wish that somebody came to help her when her brakes are frozen up. Something that she did not learn about in school. We are not Super Truckers, just good drivers, something she needs to work on.

I'm sorry but I do not agree with this woman. This woman appears to have some issues with men. Women have already destroyed chivalry when it came to dating. As a female solo driver I love it when I get a helping hand from my fellow truck drivers I am 5"1 and having an extra set of eyes while backing makes me feel better sometimes.

The problem she has is not that she gets help for backing up by male truck drivers. The problem she has is that the help she is getting is from the wrong male body type. I bet she won’t have any issue if the male truck drivers helping her out was young n had a six pack instead of a beer belly n old.

It’s called being a gentleman. Unfortunately Today’s, modern woman has no idea what that looks like. I am certainly thankful for help from other truckers. I took this job to be a trucker not a female trucker and i feel i get treated that way. I also see men helping one another.

That means you can’t park and they are making sure you ain’t the reason they gotta sit and go through insyrance claims
