It won’t go to zero, they got fabs in Japan and US. The MOAT is the ELITE highly educated semiconductor workforce and ecosystem built up over 3 decades. They workers can pack up and move just in case.

Prolly only 3-4 countries have the kind of workforce and culture to build TSMC level company.

A thoughtful analysis. I can’t purchase TSM in my tax advantaged account, so I’ll stick with ASML. No idea about next week, Levi jeans was the only one to come to mind - cowboys!

My guess for next week:
When you said it was war related and cyclical, I was thinking defense contractor like Lockheed Martin. But with the “bonus hint”, I’ll go with Smith and Wesson.

Interesting question regarding capital lite/high CapEx transitioning for mag 7. Amazon remains in a great position because they’ve never been a capital lite business. They’re built for thriving especially in comparison to competitors during this transition.
