I played this game for like 5 seconds and even whenever scrolling through the the text and changing your character I could tell the difference

The Graphics were upgraded from garbage to trash on Switch 2

so its clear this game was used for testing on the switch 2 before they tried it on the og switch

It's seriously a shitty looking game.

Looks like scarlet/violet wasn't planned do be a switch 1 game at all... its a shame the game doesn't have a cloud saving to tranfer your game data to the new console, ogre austin and bp are impossible to farm nowadays

I played the game on switch and I couldn't get pass the 3 hours but excited to get back to it on the switch 2

Nintendo fans will finally get to experience a fraction of what emulation has offered for years—of course, it still looks and runs better on PC, but that's fine. Cheers!

Crazy that switch 2 is the default speed the game should run at, on the switch 1 version the in game time doesnt match the actual time played because the frame rate is that bad

Still looks like shit because that's the way the game was designed, but sharp and stable. I'm kinda fine with that . Let's hope the game after legends ZA, it's a true "next gen" pokemon game

How TF did anyone play this game on Switch 1?!!! The freaking gameplay is tied to the frame rate and it just looks horrrrrrrible. I traded this in for GOW Ragnarok until they finally released a patch but it never came. So, I assumed this is how they would fix it.

Omg I am happy. I wanted to finish my run on scaarlet with no lag! I have 300 hours on violet, but I think that I will start do raids again now that the fight is not freeze for like 20 seconds anymore! What about sunflora mini game? But I really wanted to play at nice fps and see a vetter resolution. Gladk to hsve it, finally.

When you have a PC and a new game comes out and you have to upgrade your two year old PC to play it on normal specs, y'all don't always bitch about it. But when a COMPLETELY HANDHELD console comes out over half a decade after it's predecessor, you bitch about buying a new one to play a game you've already been playing for 3 years? Like, they want you to enjoy these older games the way they were meant to be played. It's a free update. The console had limitations the devs couldn't afford to optimize for a system near the end of its shelf-life. You're lucky you got it when you did.

Anybody who wanted a Switch already had one, and anybody willing to buy Pokémon, then, gets a free quality upgrade for picking up a new console now. At least they're not calling it a remaster and making you spend $80 on it. Don't buy the new console and play the shittier looking version of an honestly fine game. Not everyone cared about how it played, I enjoyed it as a fan of the series. It wasn't even close to the worst thing Pokemon put out.

Not everyone cares about the price of the console, either. I'm willing to wait until I can afford it because some of my favorite single-player titles are getting updates. Like, I'm tired of playing Tears of the Kingdom on a tiny ass screen because the Switch lags like crazy on the dock. Nintendo has always been behind graphically because they choose cheaper parts. Nintendo has always been geared towards a younger market. They focused on fun multi-player games that require very little processing power. Now they've actually made a Nintendo based PS4 in the palm of your hand, and y'all want to bitch about everything it has to offer. As if you're not gonna get one. Lol.

the game looks so weird in 60fps, I feel like the animations were made with 30fps in mind and then they just sped them up, it just looks wrong, still hype update but still

So they did this on purpose so they can release a better version in the future to support the Nintendo switch 2 well that explains why it was so crashy from the start

Spending $500 just for a little bit more graphics is crazy. Won’t own cartridges went all digital Nintendo is reaching. Switch 2 doesn’t feel like another generation on the switch it feels like an upgrade of the switch just as how the oled was.
