I just beat Eldenring for the first time without having played a Darksouls game and without looking up meta and even my build wasn’t that bad. You even being able to beat Radan is crazy and shows how good you are at the game.

before I got mimic tear, I used Oleg all the time and he's pretty tanky. even on a normal playthough(not a cursed one like this) I heard Oleg is still really good

Ngl took offense to hopefully Oleg can pull his weight that boy was my best friend, even when he fell off in the DLC I still used him and completed the game with my boy

Having not seen any other videos from this player, I genuinely can't tell if the build is just bad, or just extremely incompatible with playstyle. I play very strange builds that almost no one else would be successful with, but never a fat roll build...

lusat staff is only good at very high levels of int. when it says it boosts sorcery damage, it just means that it has the highest int scaling by far.

What I learned from this is how OP the Marionette ashes are. Have literally never summoned them.

Upgrading shields only buffs their attack so there's no point unless you attack with a shield.

This is what I love about Elden ring though. Coming from a person who probably just played the game on their own and just kinda put on what they found to beat the game with this honestly seems about right. Is it bad? Of course it is but it really is what Elden ring first play throughs are about, not knowing what anything is and just making it all work.
