WOW, I was just thinking about DS a few weeks back, I had Jungle Strike, Desert Strike & Nuclear Strike and thought about buying a refurbished Sega and those games again....

After listening too you talk about the new Dune game, and Rune Scape. You need too check out 7 days to die . Its of the same kind a Survival game. But with zombies.
Get 7 days to die. You will like it. And look up Salty Zombies server's. They have a good community. Friendly helpful people.

Dear salt mine overlord, did you know there is a YT channel called "the mighty jingles en español" All his videos are yours with a Spanish narration dubbed over the top. I did think it might be a legit channel, until I realised it appeared to be based in Mexico.... I think there is someone trying to earn shekels off of your work!

Weekend was good, Monday not so because our excavator driver ripped out a 150mm water line that is still in use. Fun times

Never.touch.a.running.system! I only update ANY driver AFTER I experience any issues. But I also wouldn't by a 50xx series NVIDIA card because it turns out, that company is currently (also) exploring their corporate villain arc.

It's monday, my first day of summer vacation and WOT is loading so it's not all bad.

Desert strike was on my megadrive ;-)! Remember when it came out it was amazing, remember thinking how good the graphics were!

As well as the amiga and mega drive, desert strike was also on pc plus a load of other consoles

Thing is Ubisoft would not admit there is a problem and say people are stupid...at least Nvidia acknowledged it right away and is 'trying' to fix it

I looked it up, you can get collateral kills by dragging a rock through ground troops. Sign me up! I've been playing the Jump Ship demo as well but that's a co-op based game. Rogue like with both ship and FPS combat while you scavenge. Fun if you have a group to play with.
Dune Awakening has the best thing a survival game can offer - private servers. Definitely tempting but I have enough going on for now.
Edit: While I remember Jingles (yes, I have old man brain) Owlcat Games are making 40K Dark Heresy as well. Like Rogue Trader but you're an Inquisition recruit. Well worth a look IMO.

Playing the shit out of Dune Awakening. REEAALLY enjoying it. Yeah, sorta Conan Exiles, but with other people, a fleshed out quest arc, and a good story that reflects the books VERY well, but without being part of the books as an "alternate timeline" as seen by Paul Atriedes.

It all works for me, all of it. Jankiness from Funcom aside, and I am cringing at the monetization to come. Because it will.

I just keep hoping for Thinking Machines as an expansion...

Dont have the last games, but I unninstalled Nvidia app, reverted to december 24 driver and stay put on that until the new ones are better, or until soem game doesn't workes well, no need for a new driver for a new game, unless the old one brokes the game. In my oppinion ofc.

Actually Jingles I did not finish trailer. I cannot stand free fly of coffee mug before battle. Who in right mind will allow to free fly of dangerous item in space? There was actually scene (I think in season 2 or 3), when Prax did not fix all tools and Amos has to rescue them both and catch them mid fight. And it is still item, it could hit something not necessary crew. After this scene I recognise corporate bullshit and stop watching.

I had a good weekend jingles and it's always great to watch mingles with Jingles every Monday.

That is Desert Strike... just with sharper graphics.... and a new name. I'll be getting that as I can remember the original version and loved it.

Telltale Expanse had the decks perpendicular to the thrust direction like the setting has magic Star Trek gravity. Owlcat made the belter character taller like they are in the books - but aren't in the TV show, because there are no humans shaped that way IRL. That should tell you all you need to know about how much attention to detail each developer is putting in.

Conflict desert Storm and then sudden strike similar to desert strike was my jam early 2000's though

I think the telltale developers saw that scene from Snowpiercer and went, this, we want this.

Not really stuck in bloody hospital

The lastest couple of versions of nvidia drivers have screwed world of tanks. Couple of weeks ago i downloaded the latest version at the time. Loaded up WoT and halfwsy through a game my screen went black and got a message saying graphics card error. Tried again next game, same again. Rolled back the driver and issue stopped. A few days ago I tried with the brand new driver, started up tank and issue came back. Rolled it back to old version and issue stopped.

At first I thought it might have installed the new driver in tandem with old one but no, complete uninstall of all drivers and installing new one still caused issue.

I had a feeling the new Expanse game would catch your eye Jingles!

Greedvidias all new spanking new GPUs and there drivers are complete and utter trash hahaha. Also Dune is not a MMO. 40 ppl to a server and then 300 in the DD does not make it a MMO lol its just a online survival game in the dune universe.

I do remember desert strike on my Amiga, i remember the cheat code was grozny total unlimited everything....great game.

Desert strike - serious memory lane trip there. If successful will a thinly veiled reboot of Jungle Strike be on the cards?

I have an AMD card/driver, and I had updated the drivers just a few days before Dune Awakening as well, and I also got a message on start up that my current drivers were known to cause issues with Dune Awakening
