I mean…..even if this were true it would be super tacky. Reeves’ Batman truly feels like it’s in own world. If Reeves’ Batman exists in Gunns DCU why aren’t any meta humans preventing crime in Gotham? And in a world where Meta humans have existed for 300 years why would there be a need for Batman? The Batman needs to stay as an else worlds tale. Reeves’ Batman is truly a world of its own. To mash em together would just be tacky and very uninspired.

The comic books in the 40's were different tones when they made world's finest so it would have been proof of a lack of creativity snd being failures at what they do to not find a winning way to make that fit in to that current shit their doing

This is not happening. This would actually be a really dumb idea as James Gunn has already stated we’re starting off with a Batman that already has the bat family well established. If Robert Pattinson were to be the DCU Batman, how do we explain that there’s no bat family in the Batman movie. Is Nightwing, batgirl, all the robins just gonna come in out of nowhere. How will that be explained? Robert Pattinson’s version of Batman just does not fit into a world with fantastical characters. If that was the intention, they would’ve established that in the first movie this is a stupid idea.

Yeah, I can kinda see it happening honestly and there’s legit reasoning behind it. Gunn never debunked it, he just said he’s heard of the rumors, they’ve talked about it, never say never, but he doesn’t think it’d happen. If it’s supposed to be a surprise, then he’d obviously say that and that’s not the first time we’ve seen directors/studio heads “lie” to keep a movie secret.

Reeves is a confirmed associate producer on Clayface as well (hence why he was involved in the casting). That’s super weird since he really doesn’t need to be connected to that film, so that lends credence to DCU Clayface possibly being related to The Batman. It’d also explain all the other shows they had planned for The Batman universe that are apparently gonna be DCU shows instead (Arkham).

Plus, Pattinson’s Batman is kinda what Gunn was looking for. He doesn’t want a campy Batman in the vein of Burton’s movies (he’s said he does not like those films at all), so Pattinson vibes would be his preference. The only other issue would be fantastical elements. It’s very easy to introduce fantastical elements into the next Batman movie (I personally hope they do regardless of what happens) and it’d fit right at home for Batman, since his stories vary from grounded to fantastical all the time.

And, as Armin mentioned, it’d work really well to keep Batman movies coming out, it allows Reeves plenty of time for The Batman 2, and Brave and the Bold could easily be refitted into the third movie under Reeves (and it’d be a great time to bring in Robin too). And that third movie would not have to happen anytime soon (which is great for Reeves) since the Batman sequel and possible World’s Finest movie would be more than enough in the meantime (and of course the likely JL movie too to cap off Chapter 1). It’d all honestly work really well and I hope it happens.

Not gonna lie I just hope this doesn’t happen not because it wouldn’t be cool. I just I like the Batman movie love it however I do not love Robert Pattison in the role not because he’s acting as bad. None of that. My boy does not look like a human in peak physical condition. I hate the fact that he refuses to woke up. You don’t have to be Henry Cavill or anything, but at least respect the role actors go through body transformation all the time for roles I feel we should’ve never picked him as Batman if he didn’t wanna go through the hassles of being Batman
