Imagine not being able to turn 3/4 of a million dollars to take home into something that is going to provide for your family... considering investing that money even with expenses throughout the year. That will turn into enough to pay for the rest of your life.
ОтветитьWhat’s wild is taxes take half your income at that level. I don’t care how rich they will be. That’s honestly criminal.
ОтветитьSlop content
ОтветитьWonder if the person who posted that sign went to college? Crazy how many people can't get, your and you're right.
Ответить2014 min salary
ОтветитьThey probably showed this to a group of 4th graders. Wait til Highschool to tell people to give up on their dreams
ОтветитьGet that college degree so you can end up at McDonald’s!! 😹
ОтветитьDon’t forget the supreme status which some ppl with 10M will never get 🤓
ОтветитьIt needs to be visual. They are try to reach (with academic discourse) people who don't value the academic.
Ответитьlol. Slightly inflated at that. Those numbers are off ALL DIVISIONS of football. Yes, you can make it D3 or D2, but so hard to get exposure. Hell, D1 FCS is tough to be seen.
So really 11,000 players with a serious chance. From there, you have to make the travel squad (1/2 of players) and from there you gotta play play (say 75%). So really only like 4,125 have a chance
***i played FCS then FBS on top 4 team. Shit was insane 😂 truly most cutthroat thing I’ve ever done in my life. Grind never stopped
Pick a degree thst makes you moneu. Its not your passion, its an investment. Gotta recoup that puppy
ОтветитьStatistics make everything seem impossible lol
ОтветитьThey forgot to add after college an asterisk that leads to a fine print note at the bottom that says "Results may vary based on degree and degree completion" because you can get a degree and have it still be useless, even if its something really special like mechanical engineering. You still need to be able to get the Job. The degree means nothing these days except a check box option on a job application form.
ОтветитьIf you make it to HS your odds are about 0.023% or 1 in 4244
ОтветитьThey should have the same sign for rapping.
ОтветитьLmfao now do NHL💀
ОтветитьYou're
ОтветитьIt's starts from Pop warner football. It's all about who you know and connects. You have brothers playing against each other in the nfl.
ОтветитьGetting that much money taken out is criminal
ОтветитьThis is true for any major sport
ОтветитьIf YOU'RE lucky*. The young kids are growing up spelling YOU'RE, YOUR. And when corrected, will STILL continue to misspell it. Our future is F%&ked!
ОтветитьMaking the NFL is easier compared to the NBA
ОтветитьThe taxes are insanity. The tax is just too much.
Ответитьthat college education putting millions of students in debt and they cant find a job after graduation
Ответить252k a year ain’t enough to live on the rest of your life? Bullshit
ОтветитьBreak the odds yall
ОтветитьYou must have college to exist mindset is retarrded. To do football yea but ur fame as a player will get you a career in sum else easy after. This is loser mentality of some discord liberal mod of professor projecting theyre own failure in life. Womp womp
ОтветитьCool show baseball now lol not even comparable
ОтветитьThis is garbage, all the sports movies I watched as a kid told me I just have to believe in myself.
ОтветитьI made the NFL once. Like liv'n the dream bruh.
ОтветитьYou’re 50x more likely to make it off your Samoan
Ответитьafter that, tou become a nascar mechanic😅😅
ОтветитьLol, i like how the goal was to show how college is very important, but one can make a statistics chart about college, with a bunch of twisted variables. How many people pay off there student debt in a timely manner after college? how many people truly make it to retirement age in the field they got a degree for? the world is shifting violently and fast, it’s not about what’s the “best job” or “highest paying job” it’s about who you are, what you are capable of, and what you enjoy. Some may go to college to accomplish there goals, while most go to college for no reason and for a sense of direction. Everything has its risks, life is risky; everything’s risky. Do not let some odds or statistics define what you hold in your heart. Mind over matter anyday, some will go to college to become great doctors and engineers, while some will skip college to go be great at a trade, then some will find opportunity elsewhere, whether that be there own hustle / business, and then some will be bums. Point being, what’s for one person may not be for another. We are all different and are ultimately writing our own stories.
ОтветитьThere are players making 50 million a year so why is the league minimum $252,000 after taxes? How are these young players supposed to live off that?
ОтветитьAnd that was a minimum salary back in 2014, last season the minimum was almost $800k
ОтветитьThe board says "If your lucky enough"
Yes, "my" lucky, "his" lucky, "her" lucky, and so on...
College education doesnt provide shit. It just keeps you under someone elses thumb.
ОтветитьYou're
Ответитьthis is also 10 years old
ОтветитьKnew the a guy who ended up becoming the quarterback at Harvard. Totally worth it in his case
ОтветитьI could still live the rest of my life from 3 years of the nfl minimum salary😂
ОтветитьIf you do make it to the NFL, aren't a 1st round pick, and making the league minimum, you better be living as modestly as possible, not " setting you your family", and making smart investments so you do have a life after football
Ответить“If your lucky enough” 🤦🏽♂️ YOU’RE**
ОтветитьAll that math and they still used the wrong you*re.
ОтветитьThe minimum salary numbers reflect players who are on the active roster. Players who are on practice squads or IR may receive lower salaries.
ОтветитьYou really just have to be liked big and breaking divisional records you can Aleah make it!
ОтветитьCompared to basketball that’s not even that bad
ОтветитьBasketball is better odds but the wage drop off is huge outside the NBA. Same with baseball but less drop off. The only sport where you have a decent chance to play professionally and the wages are good enough in most places is soccer. Want a college degree? Do it afterwards. The body is on a timer, the mind often isn’t. Know your abilities, think about how to showcase yourself to keep moving up.
