My idea how megaman online would play out:

It would kinda work like the zelda timeline where all the timelines connect. Years and years passed probably even decades since last sighting of Mavericks. Reploids and humans are living on peace finally and seemingly Dr. Lights dream came true. But one day maverick activity flared up again except...they are kinda different from Mavericks. They seem weird. Old...its the robot masters causing chaos in the city! Lead by an unknown force. Not only that but more reports are showing that old Mavericks and even onles from megaman zero and ZX and battle network and starlink are appearing! Being overwhelmed by the different chaos not knowing what to even do, the reploid force decide to look into their archives and find data and blueprints to old and newer looking reploids and robots. Of course being all the megamans/bio armor/suits. And others such are roll, proto man etc. Seeing as this is their only way to fight back they clone everyone to help in the fight.

To be honest, Mega Man Battle Network 7 in my opinion is a bad idea, because the ending of BN6 is perfect, there's no need for any continuation, Star Force 4 seems right.

If the television is missing a few parts for its completion than it wouldn't function properly or the power button will not turn on at all (so for a game to be published successfully you'll have to).....

That FPS Mega Man game I think should be brought back but starring Axl and it could be used as a way to help explain the gap between the X series and the Zero series. I think Axl's fighting style would fit the FPS genre better. But that is just me

Maverick Hunter seems like it could've been viewed as an abomination, or give a unique look and feel to an old franchise.

They seriously need to bring these back. Megaman 11 proved that the series can work without Inafune.

Look, if Capcom is starting to publish Collections, then it's time they just re start and green light these cancelled titles! At this point, they've made so much money from both Monster Hunter World and Rise, Devil May Cry 5, All there Resident Evil titles, including 2 and 3 remakes and with MegaMan 11, they've proven that they don't need Inafune to make a good game for the Blue Bomber!

as i heard from Matt McMuscles, who does What Happened, the "lack of support" for Legends 3 came about from the interactive back and forth between fans and the devs, basically stating that the fan input of what they wanted in the game became the ONLY source for the devs to work off of. not have the devs come up with something and the fans cast a vote, they wanted the fans to come up with the ideas and they put it into action

Yeah, that FPS game looked like it would be awesome... ignoring the edgy mid-2000's aesthetics.
