With the emergence of ChatGPT I found myself wondering how a game like this would look like today, using that technology.
I believe it will truly change the way we interact with NPCs.
They are about to get a whole new depth.

I would love to see another game attempt this today. AI has progressed SO MUCH even since when you made this video.

15 years later, now that I'm well into adulthood, I realize what insufferable grown children these two are.

Man I remember playing this game. I thought it was real cool and interesting, but now I’m sad there’s not many other games like it, if at all.

I would love to see chat GPT 3 play the facade game. I think it would be very Interesting.

I wonder if it's possible to update this game or recreate it and do a complete reboot of it? Except maybe we could dive even more into Grace and Trip's personalities and stuff.

I have had a strange fascination with this game for years. There's something just so compelling about the concept. I would love to see something like this done today, I can only imagine how much more complex and efficient it could be with modern technology & knowledge.

I finally got the good ending on accident by confusing them and then trying to squeeze in everything they mention in the "I've been paying attention" phase. Trip had a list 😂 "kissing me, kissing grace, saying grace should make art, saying I should make art, saying I'm ScArEd, saying I'm not scared ... etc." Then he said he's embarrassed of his parents and they were cool. Wtf 🤯

With the advent of ChatGPT, I hope we see something like this re-attempted soon. :D

This reminds me of how you could have limited conversations with the bots in Quake 3 😅 It blew my teenage mind when I came across it during a move where I had no internet.

Only recently did I realise there is a 'resolve/win' ending, where you get both to confess and stop fighting. The key is simple inputs.
I never thought of Grace and trip as AI, they seemed just like video game characters. With a lot of work and options put in their dialouge. And I think that's why it was so succesful, the creators didn't try to force the AI to do everything, they worked within the limits and made it work instead.
