I use patterned paper more than not. So much easier than creating backgrounds from scratch. I liked the window bird card the most.
ОтветитьGreat video, but am I missing out? I can't find the link for the envelopes
ОтветитьStunning cards as always. Huge thank you for the inspiration.❤
Ответить"purple plaid paper piece"- what a tongue twister! Beautiful cards and lots of ideas as usual!
ОтветитьI also donate my cards
ОтветитьBeautiful!
ОтветитьFantastic Jennifer! I love this video! So many fun and helpful ideas!
ОтветитьWow. Beautiful cards. Thank you ❤
ОтветитьThanks for the wonderful tips Jennifer! Never thought of inking my patterned paper, now there are so many possibilities!!
ОтветитьGreat ideas!! I love simple! 😂💙
ОтветитьSo appreciative for the talent you share with the world. I always get so much inspiration from your videos. Im going to go check out my pattern papers. Thank you for posting your traditional type of video. I appreciate the significant details and concentrated content in these videos as compared to lives. You are a great teacher of cardmaking techniques!
ОтветитьLove these cards Jennifer. Nice to see ways to use patterned paper ❤
ОтветитьThese are beautiful Jennifer!
ОтветитьI'm ready for seascapes and mountains!
ОтветитьWet pretty ! Great ideas
ОтветитьOoh keep the pattern paper tips coming. Also— and I always forget this.. pick pattern paper first and find card stock to match, and not other way around. Saves time.
ОтветитьI love your ideas! Some I do already like colouring the paper to reduce the contrast but I love the purple with the purple birds. The cut out window are a great idea!
ОтветитьI've never inked my pattern paper. Thanks so much for that tip.
ОтветитьMy weakness is buying beautiful pattern paper. Sometimes it is a struggle then to pull a card all together with a very busy background. Thank you, thank you for these ideas. As someone else commented, to add color on pattern paper never crossed my mind- what a game changer! Thank you for all your practical, but very creative ideas! You never disappoint!
ОтветитьMy weakness is beautiful pattern paper. This often results in a problem bringing a bold background with die cuts. Thank you for your practical and creative ideas.
ОтветитьGenius!
ОтветитьLove making my own backgrounds. But also love patterned paper! I couldn't design all those coordinating patterns myself.
This was fun...let's be honest, making our own backgrounds requires more materials (=more money!) Certainly can see why card making companies promote this new(er) trend (although of course techniques and styles naturally change over time as well.) And I genuinely enjoy doing so and willingly buy the products I need to create them - but there's nothing wrong with the older, less-expensive way of using patterned papers, either. Many are really beautiful, like mini art! So delightful to see this video that promotes using designer paper, especially some that might be more "busy" or appear difficult to use well, and for Jennifer's "permission" to do so - after all, if Jennifer McGuire uses them, so can we all!
I love making larger cards too, however if one is using many layers, it'll be over 1 ounce and additional postage will be needed. If I'm layering several different sized mats, I will cut a smaller die out of the center on the lower mats to both remove extra weight and to maximize the pieces of cardstock. It's nice to have some pre-cut mats or frames etc in the stash for a quick card. There are additional ounce stamps to use with the forever stamp which helps to save on the first class postage that keeps going up twice a year. Love using the heavier cardstocks/papers however it comes at a cost. Would hate to have the recipient pay for extra postage or delay a card when it's returned to the sender.
ОтветитьI’ve never thought to alter the color of my patterned paper using my inks. Thanks for the inspiration.
ОтветитьI get so excited when you make a new video, you bring to light fresh ideas and products that may have been missed.
ОтветитьLove the idea of coloring the patterned paper! Very cool! :)
ОтветитьBeautiful cards as usual. I love that Memory Box, Birch Press and Poppy Stamps puts this kind of unique detail into their products. I'm always amazed by you and your ability and talent to come up all the new card ideas. Thank you, for being in this industry. ❤🧡💛💚💙💜
ОтветитьBeautiful cards! I have so many unused patterned paper packs- thanks for the inspiration on using them for gorgeous card making.

Jennifer, you are a brilliant card maker!
ОтветитьOh thank you sooo much JM!
ОтветитьGorgeous
ОтветитьSo helpful! I'm, like you, drawn to the lovely patterns and then am stuck for how to use them.
Never occurred to me to ink them and I love ALL of these tips. Truly!!!
Appreciate the tip to ink up patterned papers to provide less stark contrast. I would not have thought of this - very helpful!
ОтветитьThank you for all you share with the crafting community. 😍I love the idea of using shiny black cardstock to make sentiments stand out. Would you share which cardstock you are using?
ОтветитьOMY Goodness - you have really flipped my lid this time, in the very best way. Forget visions of sugarplums dancing in my head. My head is swirling with all the "unlovable" patterned papers that I can ink into something that I actually want to use! I am cracking up that it never occurred to me to ink an entire piece of patterned paper to change it into something that works much better. Thanks ever so much - I love your ideas.
ОтветитьI cannot work on cards without using a tweezer....why aren't they used in tutorials?
ОтветитьLove the plaids!
ОтветитьBeautiful Jennifer! Loved how you used the patterned paper for these cards. Time to create , thank you.
ОтветитьBrilliant! I love all these!
ОтветитьThese are so beautiful!!! Great ideas and you explain things so well. Thank you.
ОтветитьHave lots of pattern paper to use up.
