The Floating Snail

Snails as you say are so very underused. Yet the obvious key to the angler is when you catch a fish and the belly feels like it is full of gravel it is time to move to a snail pattern. Well done.

Nice job reminds me of the Welsh fly cock y bundou. It is said with a y at the end instead of u.

Great looking snail Rick. I'll never forget that fish being stuffed full of them on the boys trip in Kamloops.

A major food item for trout on southern Vancouver Island since we don't have scuds. The trout were gorging on them, but on the bottom in 30 plus feet. Summer food. Nothing bigger than 3/16"
