I knew he was getting old but still it's tough to hear. Lion King came out the year I was born, so his role as Mufasa was the first place I ever heard him. Of course I would soon hear him as Vader too I could'nt tell you when though I'd imagine it was right around when the special editions came out.

James Earl Jones lived longer than most Star Wars who died before him. His lifespan is comparable to Christopher Lee. Jones lived 93 years and 8 months. Lee lived only 93 years and one month.
