I think it wasn’t a bad start, can always improve, definitely looked better and more poised than Austin Jackson’s debut

That 4th and 1 was a definitely a bad playcall because McDaniel needs to understand the strengths and limitations of his personnel. Jones has struggled and was Pauls first game. Even so, Very tough assignment to ask your rookie LT to get upfield quick enough to catch that LB. In any case, the Play was dead in the water, the LB read it all the way and beat Paul or anyone you had at LT to the punch. He was running stride for stride with Reek

Wow this was your most negative slanted analysis I've seen Ryder. I think your pre draft dislike of him is front and center. I disagree calling him below average. He didn't have a great game but for his first start feel he performed well for what it was. He is only going to get better .... man what a dig at the end saying you don't think he'll ever hit his ceiling....Debbie downer lol

So long as he doesn't have a complete meltdown game this year, I'm fine with it. If Mr Glass isn't playing, Paul has to be on the field so Miami can know what they have in him going into the offseason, playing Lamm is a fool's errand and gets you nowhere with no useful information.

And from what I was seeing, it's what you'd expect out of a rookie with wicked physical gifts, but bad technique, especially in a scheme that's asking too much of him.

Hopefully by the end of the year we know without a doubt that Paul's worth being comfortable enough with as the LT going into the offseason, so we're freed-up to draft heavily on the IOL, while signing guys like Jedrick Wills and Evan Neal. We just have to fire Grier, hopefully trade Tyreek to KC for some good picks, and fire McDaniel if this ship doesn't do a complete 180 by the end of the season.

It was exactly what we expected the day he was drafted. He is not ready. But he is what we've got.

Guys , according to the Gridiron MD the Miami Dolphins rebuild led By CHRIS GRIER since 2020, paints a troubling picture out of 33 draft picks 45 % are no longer on the Team 36 % have been relegated to back up roles only 18 % became starters and a mere 3 % reached the pro bowl ........ I SAY GRIER DRAFTED ANOTHER PROJECT WHO BEGGED TO GET BUST

Forget Armstead. Let Paul practice real time the rest of the year. Armstead will only get hurt a game or two in anyway.

Oline is horrific we go as far as the oline. Fire Grier we need a oline to be successful

It’s his first start, and he was expected to be Armstead’s understudy this year, so given he plays a premium position and they drafted him in the bottom half of the second round, I would be encouraged that he flashes ability, besides having elite physical traits, and I don’t think there’s any indication that he doesn’t have the right temperament for the job either.

Nice job, Ryder. I'd say he's got potential. He can dominate at times but lose on other plays because of technique. Nothing uncorrectable, though.
