Those are not leaders who don’t smile and interrupt. That’s a rude depressing behavior. If they don’t listen to their people, if they don’t inspire them and energize them, get rid of them pronto regardless of their performance. It’s only a matter of time before turnover, your customers, and Wall Street will start punishing your bottom line and stock price.

This is behavior that we have come to accept and acquiesce to it. This is Western male behavior and not indicative of influence.

I've wrong all the questions.But it's interesting.If you don't smile more,how people will communicate with you more?If you interrupt in every situations,I think people would feel disrespected.And if you are holding eyes contact while you are speaking and don't hold it when they speak, doesn't it mean that you are only interested in yours and not interested in them?

I can see where the research came in here - but can you differentiate how this does/does not work for women? Some women who exhibit these behaviors will be seen as leaders, whereas others will be categorized as negative and/or aggressive. Same exact behaviors, but receiving very different bias.

There's a big difference between a “Boss” and “Leader” there are plenty of Leaders who are not the Boss but there are plenty of natural leaders who are not the Boss. But there are also Leaders who are actually the “Leader” yet there are Leaders or Bosses who are neither so its all about perspective or perception and expectations and preference. Who wants a boss who never smile where negatively effects moral etc… then there the matter or quality of work influenced by moral…
