I was running a Daiwa exceler lt with 6lb braid on a Daiwa presso but the presso exploded into 3 pieces when a monster hit my inline spinner last month. I also run a Lew’s mach 2 with 20lb braid 6’9” medium fast, both have worked great from salmon fishing to trout fishing. I’m looking to upgrade my medium pole and people keep trying to convince me to get a baitcaster but, I would really rather not! I see people always dealing with backlash and other bs. The one thing I like about spinning reels is how versatile they are at throwing everything
ОтветитьYou’re so knowledgeable and I love watching your hard work producing Quality intelligence! Thank you very very much! I’ll keep watching so please keep recording!
Ответитьlooked in the description dont see a link to the reel or rod :(
Ответить@nathanquincefishing7122 is this mainly for bass fishing? Or could this setup be a good all purpose for other species like crappie, bluegill, catfish, etc?
ОтветитьWhat happened to the links to the rod and reel? They are missing
Ответитьlink to the reeel and rod ?
ОтветитьHow about the shimano symetre 2500
ОтветитьI use low vis braid only because my fingers are just to big to tie those technical knots. Is there an easier way to connect a fluorocarbon leader?
ОтветитьIn indonesian, we love spinning setup.! Daiwa Salamandura spinning rod and reel it's awesome 😊😊
ОтветитьThe only rod and reel you will ever need, but you can’t have mine because mine is custom, I built it. Humble brag
ОтветитьI have a Sedona 2500 with 10lb braid as my kayak beater for saltwater creek fishing and bass fishing. I use a 7'6" medium light with it and have gotten everything from a 7lb largemouth to a 34" creek red, and I love it for my style of fishing. I think bass fishermen sometimes get too caught up in the details of a setup and end up with 5 rods that all accomplish the same thing. It's refreshing to see someone understand you can do a very large % of bass fishing with a fairly simple setup. The only thing I'd change is the line test. Powerpro is listed at 10lb but tests at closer to 18, so nothing in any freshwater lake in north America can really come close to breaking it with a competent fisherman on the other end. The 15lb test robs 4-8 feet of casting distance, so 10 or 8 is usually a bit more versatile.
ОтветитьTop 5 budget rod and reels for crappie, bluegill.
ОтветитьI'm looking for a good quality ! Ultralight fishing reel. ( Allow me to specify when I say ultralight I mean the weight of the entire reel ) Preferably around the 3 oz. of weight. With that being said, I expected to beat somewhat small. Was around 8 to 9 lb drag or better.
What would you recommend? This will be for my backpack when I go hiking. I'll be fishing small Creeks streams and maybe the occasional small lake.
I dont think fish care what rod and reel you use. Ive took a bamboo pole and tied line to it with the og hook worm and sinker and have caught fish. But theres a huge market for it and tbh buying and shopping for fishing gear is fun af. Im js dont over think it. If youre new go to walmart and get a shakespeare combo for $25 and youre set.
ОтветитьYou don't have a link for the rod
😊
There's no link for a rod recommendation
ОтветитьBiggest bass ive ever caught was with a $20 walmart special
ОтветитьIf you want one go to the store and buy one! Don’t buy one online at Penn site there site is a joke! You can’t talk to a person after you order one, don’t even leave a voicemail they don’t call back ! If they treat you like this when you order one you can imagine how the warranty works!!!
Ответитьlots of mayo, pull out the pickles, hard to swallow, sour dough, bitter sweet.
ОтветитьA spinning reel is not a necessity.
ОтветитьI have a St Croix Premier ML 7" with the same lure rating as yours ( 1/8-1/2oz) Line 6-10 lbs, combo with a Sahara, Wouldyou consider this an all purpose rod for being a ML instead of M?
ОтветитьI got a 7’ medium heavy rod with 40 size spinning reel. What do you think about this set up? Is it versatile? Any downsides to this?
ОтветитьI was hoping for some specific rod recommendations and all I got was your specialized rods that you built yourself.
ОтветитьWhat do you think of a Bass pro shops 7' medium pro Qualifier rod.. and a Shimano Nasci C3000HG
ОтветитьI only fish spinning rods and reels.I can fish a medium light to a medium heavy just depends on the cover and baits i am throwing..Braided line is the only way to go not only does it cast farther but last for a long long time.
ОтветитьNo rod link Nate, only line. Otherwise very good video, thanks.
ОтветитьAll I prefer is spinning reels. I’ve owned a few high end baitcasters but I always go back to a good ole spinning rod.
ОтветитьGreat advice
ОтветитьHi Damien
What rod can I get with the same specs?
Darn I clicked on the video because of that rod:) Very nice!
ОтветитьWhat the hell with the links??? I couldn't find them....
Ответитьthanks Nate
ОтветитьThe link to the rod isn't there.
ОтветитьIs there another spinning rod which you would suggest that would be similar? I would think that it could not have "micro" guides at the tip of the rod so that a leader knot would not get hung up on. A lot of the rods I have looked at have micro guides or guide inserts. Thanks
ОтветитьI own a few Shimanos for my saltwater but I have to give credit to Okuma. I have a few for Bass fishing and I like that they make thicker bails. It feels sturdier.
Ответитьwhat I don't understand is how you can put a 15 lb test braid on a reel rated up to 10 lb test. Is that because it's braided?
ОтветитьNice light spinning combo 👍🏼 💜 I have a ugly stick gx2 medium action spinning rod with a Daiwa Laguna LT Spinning Reel - LAGUNALT4000-C with 30lb braided fishing line for Pier fishing you ting I have a good combo for Pier fishing
ОтветитьNah...nope.
ОтветитьSoda can wrapped mono is what i reach the most compared to my Shimano Conquest rod paired with my 2021 Antares DC
ОтветитьNathan, the links in the description for the comparable spinning rod and reel don't work. Can you PLZ repost them? THX...
Ответитьtried to purchase the line from your link, only has 6lb,10lb,20lb tests... not having the 15lb test you suggest....
ОтветитьWhat if you want to go trout fishing and use 1/32 to 1/6 ox lures. This bass outfit would be worthless in that situation.,
ОтветитьMy current setups are a Sedona 2500 (with 20 lb braid) on a 7' Daiwa Tatula M/H. And a Daiwa Legalis 2500 (with 8 lb Seguar INVIZX) on a 7' Shimano Convergence M for lighter applications. The 8 lb line & Convergence were recently put to the test when a 5 lb largemouth buried itself in vegetation. I just used extreme patience and finally worked the fish free. And IMO, for the price, the Convergence passed with flying colors.
ОтветитьJust getting into fishing ; is this combo suitable for saltwater fishing redfish?or up the size?
ОтветитьTry POISON + STELLA, you will have other opinions.
ОтветитьThanks so much for the helpful video! I’m in East Texas. Typically I am fly fishing but want to set up a good spinning rod as well. I’ve tried to find the link that you posted about the rod you mimicked? Can u please send me?
I don’t seem to be having much luck hunting for a 7 M fast rod with those lure specs. Thatnks!
someone like so i can come back
ОтветитьHi. Can you please update your links. They lead to dead ends.
ОтветитьAnd, the reel link says page not available.
ОтветитьI tried to follow your link for a rod with comparable specs and also couldn't get it
