ОтветитьRunrig were marvelous i had the honour of seeing them many times including the headline show at loch lomond a full day music festival do fir people who dont know about them check out capercaillie and hothouse flowers music, the balloch show was outstanding and i thought it was a nice touch to have the radio dj tim ferrie introduce them as he had been playing runrigs music for yesrs to get their music to a bigger audience what a night that was,the only thing that beat that was the following year we went to see runrig at the manchester appollo and were dis usdi g were to get something to eat when the guys were on the tourbus at the side of the venue and we had a wee chat and got some autographs really nice guys everyone of them

ОтветитьFabulous and almost Scottish
ОтветитьWhere Bruce??
ОтветитьWho were the Scandinavians and Germens present? I'd love to here your stories. I have always wondered that connection with the Celtic world.
Ответить😢Traurig, dass sie nicht mehr auftreten.
ОтветитьAlba <3
ОтветитьVery much like Pink Floyd. Brilliant 👏🏻
ОтветитьMy favourite band of all time . Something very special about Runrig . Strangely most English people have never heard them . But I did play some small part in getting them to play at the Victoria Hall in Hanley ( SOT )

ОтветитьLove this band, so many albums, so creative, would just love to play in a band like this, live on Runrig, a fan from the Adirondack Mts. Of New York. MOSTYN
Ответить❤❤❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьI get home sick every time I listen to RunRig even though I have lived the greater part of my life in Australia.
ОтветитьIsn't Bruce from Cape Breton Island? I learned highland dancing there about 50 years ago. Love all these guys
Ответить"British by birth, Scottish by the grace of God". As a Doric speaker, I don't understand most of the words as they are on their own - I don't feel I need to find out either because I know fine what he's saying and it fires my blood up just fine.
ОтветитьI would really like to learn this language... so different from what I know...
ОтветитьSort of a Gaelic Pink Floyd
ОтветитьA beautiful song, singing the praises of budget hi-fi equipment Alba. Their song about buying the first Sony Walkman is not bad either.
ОтветитьRunrig ist super, ich vermisse sie sehr!
ОтветитьAlba is Scots Gaelic, it means Scotland.Hence the Scottish crowd reacting as they did here.
Alba gu bràth!
I'm learning Scottish Gaelic with Duolingo
ОтветитьIron brew and runrig of course
ОтветитьRunrig make me wish I was Scottish! 😍🏴
ОтветитьI've loved this song ever since I first heard it live
Ответитьwas at the gig on 17th not Sure if this clip from then or 18th but was a wonderful experience
ОтветитьI almost got to see them at this their last concert ever. I had only been turned on to RunRig a few days earlier.
ОтветитьBeing scottish for 54 years but introduced to RunRig MANY years ago... love the band i can sing the highest apple. in the tongue of the Gael. love RunRig. Used to be a fan club member. Those of us who knew Marlene in the HQ. miss her
ОтветитьAs a MacDonnell from Glengarry County Ontario I appreciate RUNIG for signing the Scottish Glengarry Loch Lomond songs 🎵.
We Miss you.
I was never a big fan of this band but this song is terrific. And the guitarist is SHIT HOT!
I saw them at Fife Aid in 1989 and still remember this song.
Best concert ever.
ОтветитьI would have loved to have been there that night. A truly awesome band. Seen them a couple of times, don't know a word of Gaelic but the words are so intense 💙🏴
ОтветитьAll the time i lived in Scotland i never got to see them 🙁🙁 then when i returned to England bugger me they was playing at my local city Derby in 1994 so i went , best concert ever 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
ОтветитьDìreach miorbhaileach! Tha mi cho brònach nach faic mi iad beò na mo bheatha :(
ОтветитьI saw them Live in Germany in 2010. The Best Concert I ever visited. Runrig were great. So sorry they stopped playing together. Legends
ОтветитьI only came across runrig because I'm learning Scottish gaelic with dulingo and they are constantly mentioning this band and irn bru 🤣 so found these by chance and even though I'm struggling to keep up with the words I actually really really like it 😍
ОтветитьRuaraidh Macdonald is one of my personal heros. What a singer, what a songwriter... what a man... Sgonnieill & abair tha
ОтветитьSo grateful that I was able to be there. My heart still breaks for Malcolm and his grief over their last concert.
ОтветитьI love this song, and they still sound so powerful! Looks like an amazing night :)
ОтветитьFor a relatively small Country,Scotland has produced some HUGE bands👌❤️
ОтветитьHaven't a clue about the lyrics, but what passion, wish I'd been there from Northern Ireland. Love you guys. Wish you were still about.❤
ОтветитьJust brilliant to be Scottish
ОтветитьSaw them a couple of times in the 80s. Awesome performances.
