Nice, that cleared up some things for me. So the 2 effects you selected on this track are the same for all 16 pads, you can't select different effects per drum pad, correct?

Q. in 16 pitches mode if you have a midi keyboard (usb) connected can you use that to play in a melodic line?
additional - does it respond to pitch bend and mod wheel also?

So you could basically build out a song structure using only one track 16 pitches and then the clips scenes to mute or solo various combos? Eg just drums and bass solo’s. Then add keys pad to next clip.

have to know proper key of sample for using scale mode, right?

Great in-depth mate! It’s annoying ppl out there keep confusing themselves with 4 tracks 😂
I’m not the one and can appreciate Kraftwerk, ABBA, and The Beatles four track bands ❤
Now with that out, I’d love to see melodic pad expanded to full 4x8 layout.
Better yet if Move in future has 4 or 8 or 12 extra one-sample instrument only on separate tracks (while 3 tracks can be full drum or synth). Same compute power can add usability and ease variations.
Hope Ableton will expand to at least 8 like Note, but I understand that need to keep it tight not to compete too much with own Push…. which device does greatly indeed.
I would agree if Push 3 owners unlock Move more tracks as a bonus feature 😂

Hi! You’re probably already aware of this functionality, but I’ll leave this comment just in case:

To avoid samples continue playing after stopping the playback, I've changed Envelope mode from "Trigger" to "Gate" (Filter Setup bank). After that you can set "Note Length" for each step individually: long press a step and turn the main wheel. Also while you’re changing the “Note Length” settings, sequencer’s step buttons are highlighted in realtime according to note length adjustment which makes it easier to set up.



It works for samples that need to play the whole/half bar or if you don’t have too many steps in the bar. But it might be time consuming if you program your sequences manually rather than using record/capture functionality and if you have a lot of steps in the sequence.

Sold on the 16 pitches. Always bugged me that Push wasn't able to do this. Also, I hated the size.
