This is NOT the roaring 20s when America was a manufacturing hub and didn’t rely on China. As a business owner my goods are made in China and shipped to the USA because it’s cheaper there’s no other way to put it. Theres higher wages here why wouldn’t a multi billion dollar company get their goods from China? Imagine if the stuff was made on US soil in 2025. Could you imagine the cost? You think prices are high now think about if everything is made here. Let’s use infrastructure in the Country as an example it cost millions and billions to build highways, roads, buildings etc etc. Because those goods are made here and the workers are here which have higher wages than if they came from China. Same goes for goods. Look in your house everything is made in China. Tariffs will only increase prices here. It’s no other way to put it. It’s simple math. This Country did this too itself back in the mid 1900s and now the hole is dug and we as a Nation depend on China. You can’t just snap your finger and everything is made here on US soil. For example you really think Apple a trillion dollar company is going to make iPhones in this country when it cost a total of $18 to make in China? Imagine it being made here it’d cost a fortune to make then those cost would be carried over to us the consumer. Americans view Japan and South Korea as better allies than what we have in NATO.
