Well, it's perhaps not the most important decision that's being made this week, but nonetheless - which would you have?

T.50 all the way. Would never get out of the driveway with a Valkrie.

i really am not a fan of the looks of the t50 but id be willing to bet its the greatest drivers car of all time and thats the car that i would pick. i actually think the t33 is much prettier car, i might go with that over all of them.

The T.50 is what I wanted in a modern sports car. I have to admit the lines of the original McLaren are definitely sexier. The front end and the back. It's just better. But aesthetics asides, the philosophy of the T.50 is one of a kind and all I want. A pure analog driving experience. Not to mention I just can't get over the mental hurdle of spending 20 mil on an original McLaren. I wouldn't feel good taking that on the road.

As a road car , the Vakyrie is pointless , it's a pretty exercise in design whereas the T50 is practical , not got silly looking splitters that will be destroyed at the 1st speed bump it encounters, can seat 3 people and carry their luggage and arguably has the best engine ever made, T50 all day, every day

Fast forward 2 years and Chris Harris has driven his first Valkyrie around a track and Gordon has signed off on the T.50 into production.

Chris Harris’s drive in the Valkyrie makes the car look mentally quick around a track; especially for the AMR Pro.

The biggest news since then, to me, is the T.50 weighing less than 900 KG and produce nearly 1,500 kg of downforce which is ludicrous. Think of it this way: the car that the engeneer behind it says, “I don’t care how fast it is or how quick it is around a track” has produced a car that had nearly the same horsepower, only 80% the weight and near DOUBLE the downforce of a McLaren Senna… Let that sink in.

As radical as the Valkyrie AMR Pro seems around a track, I think we may just see competitive lap times from the GMA T.50s Nikki Lauda…

The Valkyrie wouldn't make the drive to Le Mans without breaking down twice and followed by a team of engineers. As for the return journey? You'd better have a trailer ready.
The GMT.50 on the other hand would not only get you there and back in comfort, it'd put in a super fast few laps that you could actually enjoy without being scared shitless.
Oh, and there'll be working, on the road examples worth 10 times what a Valkyrie show pony that's locked away in some Arabs desert garage will be.

Electric makes a perfect hyper car motor. Loads of Torque and HP. And the owners barely put any miles on these beast. So range isn’t an issue. Only downside is the loss of the V12 sound.

For sure t50, aston is not going to be as fast as a gordon murray or probably as an amg one, and for the road is useless. T50 you can go whith two girls for shopping flex the car to peaple and the girls will not get much space in the car for the things so they dont ruin your wallet kkkkkkkk

I wouldn't buy that Aston even if I could afford to buy both. It's just trying too hard. If you ever tried to actually use it as a car, you'd be forever having to stop and pick up bits that had broken off it. The only use for it, is to put it on a trailer and drive it to a track. But if you can afford to buy it and do that, you can probably afford something even quicker.

That was eloquent. The moment I got wind of the T50 with the introduction video and Gordon doing his voodoo verbal hypnosis, I was sold. Didn't even care that it looked a bit awkward and, as Chris so rightly said it, just a newer F1. It's the ingredients and philosophy. I'm totally on the same train as Chris. While everybody else is going into a stupid power and tech war, Gordon sticks to his guns and what some might call a bit of nostalgia which I find perfectly healthy in this case. Have you heard the thing??? omg...

t50 will be the sort of car that a normal person can enjoy at any speed. The Valkyrie is a track weapon meant to blow the users mind but will probably not be as enjoyable on the street.

Interesting watching this back nearly two years later and reflecting where we now are - Valkyrie is a mess with Newey disavowing himself from it, the AMG One is had journo drives on track to mixed reviews and alledgedly due to start customer deliveries this autumn and GMA T50 seems to be the only one that is working through its test programme without lots of stories of failures. It would be interesting to ask Chris the same final question again today - I suspect his reflections might be different

I’d take the T50 over the Valkyrie any day. I just get the feeling that the T50 is going to be the funnest hypercar money can buy. To the point that the car will eventually skyrocket in value like the F1 did.

why is it taking so long to realise that that ultimate top speed and over the top power has nothing to do with driving experience. ten years ago we knew what we wanted from a car but companies have persevered with members. to me all these companies have already seen the future and just capitalised on people with more money than senses ignorance of a driving experience. if you buy something ridiculous now you've bought a maybe potential museum piece. bet a Porsche drive it and know what being a satisfied human being feels like.

I couldn't agree more with what Chris said about EVs. They're just simple means of transportation and don't have anything exciting about them, so they try to make up for that by having ridiculous amounts of power, which after a while just becomes painful.

Chris Harris was SO GOOD when he was by himself. T G took him and made him a clown. His body language changed so much that it is a different person. I haven't seen him in ages. This interview made him come back a little bit. TG is sucking every good energy he had! Still like him very much when he is alone talking about cars or with serious people like on this Interview!

Not sure the Valkarie would not be an investment museum piece like the McLaren F1 or the La Ferrari. Something seen in an airconditioned garage and to which the owner would likely to be not experienced enough to drive unless it was on an open field track. Its "road legal" but if it requires gymnastics to get into, then why not buy a track day weapon. The McLaren sounds easier to drive on real roads (might even park it). The ultimate ICE car to drive on real european roads is likely a 911 TurboS or if you have a stronger spine and GT3 RS at a pinch. Every other car is either too wide (Ferrari/Bugatti/Lamborghini), not special enough (R8/Astons regular cars/McLaren) or only possible to get even half its performance on the track. The T50 can hide in a city garage and unlike the real speed weapons (any top superbike) be driven to the local restaurant or some rural backroads (with oncoming traffic unlike the TV adverts). The original F1 was no supermodel either but its not a legand for nothing
