It is not comfortable to hold, its smaller size actually makes writing more difficult for me as my hands are too large to have it rest comfortably. I think it’s popular because it has a fun click and is cute. Beyond that, I truly do think it’s an average at best pen.

my concern is that it is uncomfortable to grip on it because it is so short that the click will be on the way and hurt my hand

The P didn't work for me. Unfortunately, I get hand cramps when I use it. It's a great design and very cute. I keep it in my bag and use it for quick notes only.
