The only scene in this trailer lasting more than 1.5 seconds are the letters on the black background. Jeez. Many scenes are like .2 to .5 seconds! My brain hurts from all these flashes and changes into different movie parts. But maybe it's just me.

Spoilers ahead: There are many scenes you can assume didnt happen in real life. I even did a lil research to assure myself that my suspicions were correct. Just to give you one example, you may have been suspicious about the grandfather having a stroke and soon dying while the grandson is hopefully being rescued, and if you thought to yourself, "oh, i doubt THAT happened!', well, you'd be right.

Romain Duris was the best thing about this movie (the main kidnapper)......Christopher Plummer just kept knocking it out of the park until the END....The kidnappee did a good job, and i thought michelle williams did well with her accent...

Still a great movie, well worth the viewing time, 2023 .

What a great movie I watched last night and I was like wow.

This is a good movie but....not 100% accurate - the real story was slightly different - but still good movie i recommend

Its was tough watching Mark Walburgh character being truly useless amids a kidnapping. A role more suitable for Mr Bean

Will Ridley Scott rerelease the movie with Kevin Spacey put back into the movie now it’s been shown the allegations against Spacey were just that…unproven allegations that were subsequently shown to be false.

I found this movie at the big lots for $5. Zero expectations, but im glad i purchased it. Its a story about kidnapping, but more than that, it's about the loneliness, bitterness and sadness that greed can bring a person.

The mother character was the most unlikable that I can recall in some time. Ruined the film for me

Putting aside Spacey’s allegations, Plummer was obviously better for the part. During the real life kidnapping, the really Getty was 80 years old and died three years later. Spacey was in his mid 50’s in 2017 and Plummer was age appropriate. And with all do respect to the artists, the makeup on Spacey looked unnatural, I don’t think there’s enough makeup in the world to make him look convincingly 80 years old. Plummer was also a bonafide pro: he came in at the last minute, briefly read through the script and prepared in a short time span before shooting all his scenes within a week. That Oscar nomination was well deserved. May he Rest In Peace

Danny Boyle's limited series TRUST blows this away and Donald Sutherland as Getty is a straight up LEGEND performance.

michelle williams wasnt paid 1000$ and wahlber 1.5mil bec he's a man and she's a woman
people dont understand hwood and the business. its rotten to the core. but michelle agreed to do the reshoots which were necessary for the film to succeed. mark took 80 percent less for the entire film. he wouldnt do reshoots unless he got the 1.5mil
the producers had no choice. in order to complete the film with a new actor playing a prominent role, they had to give in to wahlbergs request. funny how this entire movie is all about demands for $ and no one was willing to pay it
