This is another great video on a product i would have not known about otherwise. And as usual, Steve makes it fun, funny, and thrilling! Oh, yeah, and informative. Too bad the price is so high. Since the company is a Chinese company, the price will most certainly be effected by tariffs and other trade issues. I wonder if supply is also being affected, because the source factory may not be producing as much since they can't make money with tariffs.

That Edge T3 is interesting, in more ways than 1. I've read that OMP were involved with it's development, but if you search online for Edge T3 it takes you to a company called Edge Smart Drive that make underwater scooter. It seems a tad diverse, scuba gear and long range video transmission. The other reason it's interesting, is because the T3 system just appeared out of the blue. The T3 and Openipc seem to indicate digital FPV is getting more affordable. I've got the Eachine Sphere Openipc system, and the quality is really rather good, especially as it was only £60.

Can you face the ground station antenna facing up so you can fly in any direction around it or can you only fly in front of the direction the antenna face?

This Zemo V2 review is exactly what I needed! Steve makes flying this VTOL seem so approachable, even for a beginner like me. That precision return to home is seriously impressive, and the fact that it's ready-to-fly out of the box? Sign me up! Definitely eyeing the RTF version.

I don't see the point of this drone...in Canada for example you can't fly drones for recreational use further than 500metres from the controller. This rule applies to multiple countries around the world. Any comment?

sometimes, often, always, its beneficial, to get practice in the diy/bnf side of things. not just being handed yours stuff, but being able to do and understand your own stuff.

I thought there was a vtol with a controller with inbuilt screen .. Why couldn’t they have one similar to the DJI ..The controller is my only gripe .. Stunning otherwise… Thanks Steve 💚

BTW, another thing any FPV pilot is going to need/want with this setup is a ground based DVR, because the T3 video system doesn't include one. The most logical choice is one that also has a screen like the one in this vid, but it's another $200+

This prolly has a big phat battery. This sort setup can get some serious distance with good chance of getting back. Prolly worthy.

I'm not so sure that I would recommend a beginner fly 35km long range on an Ardupilot VTOL. A very expensive one at that. This is a recipe for guaranteed disaster. For advanced pilots, sure go for it! Ardupilot does VTOL very well and they are super fun.

Looks good, I guess you could mount that ground station on helmet on top of your head so not to bring too much attention to yourself 😁, it is a tempting buy that is for sure and don't know if that is the same model but I did see a similar model that someone hooked up to a 3 monitor flight sim complete with powered chair that rolls and dives with your movements, funny how you came up with this just a couple of days later.

Expensive, but cool. If I'm blowing that much dough anyway, then I'd also want a stabilized 3-axis gimbal (with zoomable camera) so I could site-see in loiter mode.
