The only thing that made me say "What?" was your button positioning on your cargo pockets?? They seemed to scruntched up to the left, and not even placed. Maybe I'm not seeing something correctly. On men's trousers where the button is sewn down is going to line up with the center of the buttonhole? I think in womens pants it would be lined up with the inner edge of the buttonhole, just anticipating that it's going to have tension on it..

Do you think you could make a tutorial on how to modify patterns for big and tall guys? It's very hard to find info about that and many clothes are not made for us even if their size says it is. Many pieces of clothing are either too short, the right length but too wide, the chest is fine but the torso is very baggy, or the shoulders/back are too small and it's way too hard to find stuff that fits, let alone most places only carry clothes up to 2XL (Im 3XLT)

I have enjoyed making things, I am self-taught but that being said watching here I have learned a ton more! I just bought these cargo pants pattern, I hope to build them into shorts, and swim trunks! Thank you very much! In my previous sewing tasks, I have used a Singer it is the oldest electric Sewing machine Singer ever made its so cool but only a straight stich, I will be buying a machine like you suggest!

As someone with 25 years of sewing experience, who went to school for fashion design, I want to say that this is an excellent video. You covered a ton of material succinctly and didn't skimp on the construction techniques necessary to make these pants last. The only thing I could find to even slightly disagree with was the asymmetrical button placement on the cargo pocket flap, and that's purely a personal aesthetic preference. I fully recognize that your placement follows function more, with the pleat. I will definitely be following your channel to keep up with your work. I didn't expect to watch the whole video because I know how to draft a pattern for pants and construct them, but it was such a good video that it was satisfying to watch.

I just finished these pants! 10/3/2024. This is an awesome pattern and tutorial! Thankful for no zipper!! Notes to others: watch the entire video before starting. Yes, the fabric really does need to be washed and ironed before starting. Get ALL the pocket pieces sewn and laid onto the pants to make sure where they all go and match up before pinning and sewing them down. Now I’m getting set to make another pair with fabric and notions I’ve picked at the fabric store. Thank you Glory Allen!
