Not bad, nice lead vocals. Still gotta say there was no sign of Harvey. No overtones, which were what made the original so magical. When the Momas and Poppas were really on, and there were crazy good overtones they would say, "Harvey's Here".

They just ruined a classic song.

A group called River City People did probably the best cover of this song that I've ever heard - one hit wonders unfortunately, which was a real shame - they had huge potential.

This video has averaged 7500 views a day. In 2.2 years, it will reach 20 million! Best version I've heard, ever. The girl in yellow accounts for 75% of the views. ✌️👀

Funny thing, young people playing a song from almost 60 years ago. But I wonder if they knew the history of the Mamas and the Papas. The lead guy was married to the pretty blonde and she was sleeping with the other guy. Mama Cass - the big girl - was in love with the other guy. She was heard screaming to the pretty blonde “You can have any man you want. Can’t you let me have this one?”.

They only lasted a few years but did make a song for the ages. Music is about passion.

I love younger people sing music like that. Excellent song.
