My black tube keeps unattaching itself from middle flange-and I have to take the lid off and reattach it, any idea why that would be?
ОтветитьNice, this video just saved me the plumbers minimum call out charge. Only $3.49 and 2 mins. Thanks!
ОтветитьThank you bruh
ОтветитьThis worked but now it fills slow
Ответить5 minute fix.
Yes, lift up float arm befire turning counter clockwise
THANK YOU
ОтветитьAfter change the thin tube running water. How could I fix it ?
ОтветитьMine doesn't run just whistles an extremely high pitch annoying sound.
ОтветитьIts so much easier to replace the whole thing.
ОтветитьWow I am gonna try this
ОтветитьGod Bless You, Man!!! Saw the tip in the nick of time jist as I was about to order the entire pricier valve assembly. The replaced gasket looked damage free and yet the replacement worked like a charm. Sending lots of positive vibes your way!!!
ОтветитьGood solution of that annoying problem.
ОтветитьThanks! Worked exactly like you showed.
ОтветитьI cjecked and cleaned this part, but it didn't work. Finally it was the probkem of the valve seal. Check this video for more details.
ОтветитьSo all that black water must be how badly it’s deteriorating and it’s hard to turn….. well shit. 😂
Ответитьwill this work for the fluidmaster 400 with the black top? same part replacememt
ОтветитьBro just saved me $$ and time, plus the hassle of deciding what valve to purchase. I can get super picky about quality over price. As to how can I make this better for next time. Time is precious as you get older😅. Appreciate u. God bless✌️
ОтветитьI can’t put it back on so what do I do … I tried pressing down but I can’t get the red cap off
ОтветитьIt's not a flapper it's a aqua piston
ОтветитьFor the first couple seconds I thought I was listening to Butthead give me instructions lol. Albeit, a more mature Butthead without braces, but Butthead nonetheless! Lol
ОтветитьDude! Thanks so much for sharing this information and making a precise short video! This was exactly why my toilet fill valve stopped working. Much appreciated!!
ОтветитьI just had to clean the old one and clear debris (house on well) and it worked like a charm. Thanks for not making it a 20min video
ОтветитьPlease turn off the water before trying this, also for about $10 more you could have just changed the whole fill valve.
ОтветитьThanks dude I just replaced mine! Thanks for saving me hundreds on the water bill
ОтветитьYes, remember to turn the water off before you mess with that. But I didn’t know that was in there, and when I took it off, there was a little bit of debris in the strainer once I cleaned that out it worked perfect. Thanks 1 million.
ОтветитьIf your unlucky like me and its a sunday and everywhere is closed after you worked a 12 hr shift over night.
Take the cap off remember the nipple goes facing up . Take it off clean it with soap and water dry with cotton ball . Lightly turn on the water were the water shoots up like a water fountain to clear any possible mineral build up turn if off ressamble nipple up , make sure you hold the arm up when you turn it back to place. Then get some rest and if it happens again thats future yous problem .
Other than the flapper, and tank to bowl seals, that is the only other part that should wear out. Everything else is plastic.
Ответитьthank you for this video it help me and i’m able to fix my toilet water loss
ОтветитьWhere is the link?
ОтветитьHow did you get the red cap off?
ОтветитьLike magic, shit works like a charm. Thank u very much!! Will follow for more diy
ОтветитьLife saver!!!!! Thank you
ОтветитьThank you for the insight. i just fixed it from watching this 😊
ОтветитьI can not lock it back. Anyone knows how to lock it?
ОтветитьMy toilet's only a year old. How could that be broken already?
ОтветитьI have water with lots of iron in it and little pieces of sediment get caught in the seat, so it doesn’t seal. In that case, all you have to do is clean it out so it seats properly. Thanks for the reminder of how to accomplish that!
ОтветитьDoes that get rid of the ghost flushes? I only get them with Fluidmaster.
ОтветитьThis worked! Holy shit, thank you man!
ОтветитьWow problem solved!! 💪🏾💪🏾
ОтветитьSome time ago i changed out the entire unit on my toilet. Out of curiosity i disassembled the old one to see how it worked and not only did i figure this out but another thing i found is how the float itself is constructed. Its not a water tight sealed piece as i thought it was. Its actually two halves an upper and lower piece. It's not remotely water tight. The lower half, which is basically like a cap off a spray paint can is the actual float. The top piece is a little bigger that snaps in place over the top of it with a gap all the way around where the two halves meet. Generally this isn't a problem however if you ever have an issue with the float try taking it apart and see if there is water in it.
ОтветитьHow do you know what causing it to leak. Or just replace it anyway?
ОтветитьI can't stand these stupid plastic fill valves. The old ones with the floating ball lasted a long time.
ОтветитьIt really works..👍
ОтветитьDoes this part fit every toilet or is every toilet different? How would I know? Fluidmaster 242 the number 242 means something or am I wrong?
ОтветитьJust fixed mine with this video. Part was exactly the same and $1.97 from Menards.
AWESOME!!!
Forgot to turn off the water valve and took a shower in toilet water.
Ответить@DaveDocDIY, thank you!! Not only did it take care of the problem but was a quick fix. I appreciate the encouragement to DIY.
ОтветитьAwesome video.. saved me a ton
ОтветитьThank you so much, I lost the video but the replacement part works great
