I think your cast block had a structural failure which threw the front bearing housing out, then the front bearing. It seemed to pop like a block failure and all those rips with added weight. Just a guess. Get a billet block to test the guess.

Dude a slight crack in that plug might be what was making it break up all along and also maybe why it beat that rod up. More boost and fuel will increase resistance across the plug gap and the spark will start looking to track to another ground
