I wasn't really a Kiss fan but honestly the first 7 Kiss albums with the original line up (1974-1979) are some GREAT records and catchy numbers. You can't judge a book by its cover – those guys aren't hard rock, just pure classic rock n roll.

Should of pressed him on the c 19 issue...Probably was not allowed because of the platform and to get the interview...He was a real shill on the topic and a complete asshole however what do you expect from his tribe that made BILLIONS on the BS and killed the cattle...I guess not all of us are the chosen ones.

Gene is extremely intelligent but does quite often get his facts wrong, for example, Mary Leaky (Not LS Leaky) did find an Australiopethicus Skull in Tanzania (Not Tanzanica) in the Olduvai Gorge in 1959, but it was Raymond Dart who actually founded the species in Taung South Africa in a rock quarry and being Australian named the Autraliopethicus Africanus not Leaky in 1924. Also, it's funny of all the tens of millions of people who Gene met in his life, to make the claim he is the only one he ever met that read the Encyclopedia Britannica cover to cover lol.

Almost anyone who was interested and lived in the 70s especially had the Encyclopedia Britannica in their house. Macromedia Micrropedia, world Book, Altlas (giant), etc. I know I did and many of my friends did. I read it cover to cover multiple time as did many of my friends.

Another major error was St Peter was the first Pope of the Roman Catholic Church, not Constantine and it was the Council of Nicaea in 325 not the Council of Midea in 315 AD. Secondly on the subject, not only was Constantine not a Pope but there were 35 popes before his death and he was never even baptized till on his deathbed in 337 AD on his deathbed and definitely never even clergy.

Seen Kiss twice now! I wanted to see them way back but they got sick! I was so ready to go! Face painted and so excited! So when I could I made sure I say them the next time! One of the my favorite groups! Just a blast to see! 😝 What’s up Gene?! The Demon 😈!

When I first tried Rock and Brews, I was not feeling it when I first went, because I am a die hard rock fan and it lives in my home! Rock 🎸 stuff everywhere. KISS, ACDC, etc… I grew up on Rock. 🤘 It was like the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inside, so it has a lot of pop influences and a lot of other influences and it’s not rock so much to me, completely at least just somewhat Rock, you know?! BUT if Gene approves I am cool enough with it. lol And that is how it is now with the Hard Rock Casinos as well and how stuff is nowadays. It’s fine and can be fun. But honestly the food at Rock and Brews is great! It’s actually a great restaurant. It’s expensive but it’s worth it for a themed restaurant at least compared to other restaurants! I love the Cajun Noodles! 😋 I hope to see KISS again and meet you in person one day! I wish I could have partied with you when you guys were younger! 😈😎👹 Man that would have been good times! And Ozzy and other greats too! You seem like you would be funny as hell at parties! 😌! I love Australopithecus too! 😜😝🐺! 🔮 Hehe! I am glad your family survived in you my friend. I hope we never have to experience another World War. Hopefully China and others fall in line and stop playing games or whatever is exactly going hehe.

Highly interesting! A number of topics resonated with me, especially the lack of discipline in today's day & age. My parents were both first generation Americans, who were raised in NYC, & I was raised much the same way as Gene describes. Thanks for the interview & your time & talent, gentlemen.

Great interview! Seeing excerpts from this interview popping up on rock music sites. I’m trying to think of other NY area musicians from the era that would have good stories about the clubs back then, so far I came up with Carmine Appice (Phil Basile managed his band), Genes former bandmate Peter Criss, Felix Cavaliere, Frankie Valli, and Dee Snider, Mark Mendoza and Jay Jay French from Twisted Sister.

Gene's a great guy but his hang up on the Beatles & Elvis fans yelling contest is so weak he brings this up numerous times. So he is talking about the Beatles debut in the early 60s. So Gene where were you those early Elvis years like '53,'54,'55,56,57 to compare?
Nowhere, Enough already.

Gene is full of himself. Doesnt let michael talk. He reminds me of donald trump in terms of talking too much and the way he uses his hands and all that. ”Never did drugs”. Yeah right, one of their favorite bands were the new york dolls.

See THIS version of Gene? I absolutely love it. I’ve had the privilege of spending some social time with him and he’s a great guy….if it’s the right time. Coincidentally, I met his mother too-when she was Mrs. Lebowski-lovely regal woman.

Gene is a fantastic human being who has truly lived. His arrogance drives me up the wall, but ultimately I see that calming as he ages. And many people don’t realise the charitable work he does. A paradox of a human-whom, at his best, is one of my heroes.

GREAT Interview, Mr. F
